Sounds like an eye opener of a book. As far as the photo: I like how u roll!. :-)
I love discovering new authors and I especially love reading books set in our area. It's one thing to read a book set in Los Angeles--it's one of America's big cities, like New York, and all our lives we've been reading books and seeing movies that take place there. But a book set in Glendale--Pasadena--Altadena--etc.--is a little more intimate for me, and I get the fun of "I know that place!"

Petrea: Have u heard of the book "Clay Walls"? that was written years ago... It can be compared to Joy Luck Club... Clay Walls was written by my mom's cousin.. she used a pen name, since then passed away.. I learned a lot about my family-... Its cool to see friends/family get public acknowledgment.
I like it when good things happen to nice people. Plus she is so darn good looking and she loves great food and wine. This gal has got it going.
It sounds familiar, Kalei, but I haven't read it. I agree, though, seeing my friends hit the heights gives me a charge! It makes me proud of them and encourages me to try for the same.
Steven, I guess you looked at Desiree's website! She's definitely loaded with positives.

Congrats, Desiree! I was waiting to get a Kindle or a Nook before I got Human Cargo, but I keep procrastinating so I just bought the book and downloaded it to my computer. I'm excited to finally delve into it.
