Best of 2012

I said I was going to do a "best of 2012" retrospective and promptly forgot, so I'm a couple of days late.

Judging from comments, this shot, 2/1 Theme Day: Animals, was the hands-down favorite. I took it during a mid-January sunset at Hahamongna Watershed Park.

Some of these are my favorites, some were favorites of commenters. Really, though, I like them all. I've added links to the original posts.

(reminiscent of 2/1 Theme Day, if you ask me).

I enjoyed taking them all. Each photo is a memory for me.

They are all gorgeous - you get some magical light in Pasadena! (I've a slight soft spot for the ones involving a pup:)

Simply beautiful, Petrea. The photo of Boz on the beach will always be a favourite, but the visible aroma of hot caffeine above that cup makes my mouth water.
Here's to another great year of Pasadena pics.

Oh yeah!!! That first one is a keeper!!! Have you framed it yet??? I also love the cup & pup, and of course, Boz having a day off!!! Fabulous pics Petrea!!!

Thanks, all. I'm partial to the pup pics myself. Please enlarge the one of Boz on the beach to see why I like it so much. I might frame that one first, Chieftess! I actually thought the first one was only okay until commenters raved about it.

In the beach scene, Robinson Crusoe is coming out the water.... Will he spot Dog Friday's footprints?

Wish there was a 2013 calendar of PDP greats.

I like them all, but I like Boz and jacaranda the best.

I'd love to do a calendar, Bellis, but I've never put in the time to find out an economical way to do it.

Thank you, Margaret. Maybe I'll frame that Boz pic. I love it.

I'd be proud of such a body of work. The YWCA photo is brilliant.

I did a selection, too.

These are all stunning. I have an emotional attachment to Cup and Pup because I *think* that's the one where I first commented on your blog!

A PDP calendar is a great idea. Another blogger I know has done one with her drawings. I'll have to see what company it is that she used. Will pass along the info. You know, for your leisure hours!

Superb collection; you take excellent photos!

(I'm partial to the Boz photo, too.)

Thank you, Bob. I waited for that one.

They are superb.

Adele, I'd love to have that information. Might be too late for 2013, but there's always next year! I did a 2012, but it was so expensive Bellis and I are the only ones who bought it.

Thanks, Ms. M. Boz thanks you, too.

The first image brings to mind your picture of the boys running past you on the Hahamonga trail, perhaps because of the puffs of dust stirred up.

The heron flying over the dark clouds could just as well have been taken at a park near where I live, but the others have a beautiful light that we don't get here.

Here's to another year of great pictures, happy blogging and a successful book!

If you knew how proud I am of you, you'd barf.

John...she'd only feel that way if she has to sew on new buttons on all the shirts that bust open with pride!!!

All gorgeous, Petrea, and no surprise Boz is my favourite. I hope you're having a beautiful weekend.

A year of our photographs is such a good way to measure that year.

Thank you, Natha.

I'm amazed you remember the one of the runners, Speedway. That's a favorite of mine, too, thanks.

I don't think I'd barf, sweetie. Try me. (It's okay, Chieftess, John sews his own buttons.)

Thank you, Shell.

Did you do a retrospective, Dina? Your blog is my next step so I can check.
