Zen Monday: #105
You won't be surprised to know it's Zen Monday.
Today's the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what I think the photo's about. There's no competition, no right or wrong. We're here to have fun.
I look for a photo worth contemplating or, failing that, something odd or silly. And unless I absolutely must say something I stay out of the comments box to avoid influencing the discussion. Ohm.

The morning fog seems to have compressed our sky, it will clear by noon.....
very cool abstract
Spirit level testing facility.
I think its a wonderful photo...
strong structure - I like it.
Great photo. I know that building... and yet I don't.
Really cool! When you squint your eyes you can see the extra "stripes" created by the shadows.
Vertically challenged.
Cool blue and vibrant too, it's a symphony of colors.
PS - "Mind the gap, Pasadena style" (I think the gap in the shrubbery makes the photo really interesting. - Just love this one.
Auuuummmmmmmmm …
It's so Zen it hums. It's like standing under power lines.
Horizontal
PS: You're on a roll. This is fantastic.
I suddenly feel like lying down.
Great photo.
Ahh-some. Very calming.
Ahh-some. Very calming.
Ahh-some. Very calming.
Really nice abstract. It conjures up images of a very inviting public pool.
Ooooooh, I so LOVE that gap in the hedge!
One night, frustrated that his artistic ambitions were unfulfilled, the painter fell asleep in front of one of artist Gene Davis's paintings, and was inspired to make a horizontal version on this building, which became his canvas.
Looks like someone is a UCLA Bruin...
I have no caption. But I love this photo.
Stay inside the lines.
Soooo minimal....
No need to be aggressive.
DAYo.
No caption either - horizontally challenged.
gives new meaning to the MTA's blue line
The hedges tried.
They wanted to be just like the other horizontal lines: joined at the center without a seam in sight.
They reached and reached until...
...they ran out of steam.
It simply was not worth it.
It looks like an abstract painting or art installation. Great colors, cool photo :)
Miz Emley cracks me up.
This is sensational, Petrea! Something about it - the colours - that turquoise - makes me think of Hockney and California and those swimming pool paintings.
No comment for the photo but thank you for your words on my blog. You are in my heart, too.
Of all the photos I've called "zen," this one may come the closest to the actual meaning of the word. Or not.
Thank you all for your visits and comments today. I loves me some Zen Monday, you know I do!
But where is it?
This is over on Locust St. at Allen Avenue near Jameson & Brown Coffee Roasters, Anon. It's on the north side of the street. I believe it's a storage company.
I love this--I think it's the storage place on locust/allen--but I've never seen it like this--
Richard Diebenkorn
Gorgeous! Thank you.
That's right, Des.
PA, I see it.
Thank you, Rosie.
We control the horizontal. Someone else contracts for the vertical.
Exactly, Cliff. Would you like me to turn the photo for you now?
