Weird Weather

Yesterday we had hail in Pasadena, snow in Baldwin Park and a tornado in Riverside. You could say the weather in southern California's a little...off for May.

More rain today (yay!). Drive with care.

Getting that time of the year here, where we will take any rain we can get, as long as the tornados and hail stays away.

Does the ambulance say AMBUMED? Like I am bummed?

It sounds like the kind of weather we come to expect here in the UK!

That is pretty whackadoodle for southern California. We had blazing heat up north here, then the north wind came in hard with plummeting temperatures, and now we expect some light rain over the weekend. No hail or tornadoes though.

Yikes!! I am so glad all we get is snow and ice in the winter. Not many tornadoes, very few actually, not much hail, wind, hurricanes, typhoons, thunderstorms, or anything else. Just lots of snow and ice in the winter. I can handle it, even though it is cold for many months of the year. Oh well, Spring, Summer, and Fall make up for it, even if they are the same amount of time as winter is!! (or so it seems!:)

It says I'm bumed, Jim, not bummed. But I don't know what that means.

We don't expect this weather, Marley, but we sure need it!

Whackadoodle. Yes. That's what the weatherman said.

Maybe Petoskey is sheltered by the bay, Christie. Otherwise, I'd assume you'd get some whackadoodle storms there on Lake Michigan.

Now I can see it better, my monitor at work is not very good......not that I visit websites are work or anything....

You would never do that, Jim, of course not. I hope you clean out your cache, unless you think your boss would be interested in photos of Pasadena...

Whackadoodle.

Yes, well, it's a technical term. I guess I shouldn't show off so much.

It is strange that you're having weather like that in Southern CA and I'm in MN where I'd expect it, but instead I have sunny and 70s. Slight possibility of 80s and a thunderstorm tomorrow, but I miss those kind of storms so I'd be ok with it. Hope the weather clears up there!

Nonsense uselaine. I'm here to learn.

Katie, I'm originally from the Chicago area. I was here in the LA area quite a while (it seems years, but memory's not accurate) before I heard thunder. Lightning still makes the news. I love it, and we're all grateful for the rain. This storm was a good one, though we'll need much more to get us out of the drought. I hope you continue to have sunny weather, just for your vacation!

Oh wow! You are from Chicago? What fun! That's where I've been living for the past 33 years. Well, actually, we lived in Chicago for a bit over a year and then moved to Skokie/Evanston. Tornadoes and hail are certainly unusual for California. My sister in law lives in Yorba Linda. We've had a colder than usual weather over here. I know I'll miss it once we're in Hawaii.

Welcome, Musings. Yes, I grew up in DeKalb and lived in Chicago after college. I miss many things about it, but not the weather! Thanks for stopping by and good luck on your move.
