Well, actually, we lived in Chicago for a bit over a year and then moved to Skokie/Evanston. Tornadoes and hail are certainly unusual for California. My sister in law lives in Yorba Linda. We've had a colder than usual weather over here. I know I'll miss it once we're in Hawaii.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07461569436322815787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-54482307532366342382008-05-24T08:56:00.000-07:002008-05-24T08:56:00.000-07:00Nonsense uselaine. I was here in the LA area quite a while (it seems years, but memory's not accurate) before I heard thunder. Lightning still makes the news. I love it, and we're all grateful for the rain. This storm was a good one, though we'll need much more to get us out of the drought. I hope you continue to have sunny weather, just for your vacation!Petrea Burchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13043950465171821852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-91610447490281714452008-05-24T07:35:00.000-07:002008-05-24T07:35:00.000-07:00It is strange that you're having weather like that...It is strange that you're having weather like that in Southern CA and I'm in MN where I'd expect it, but instead I have sunny and 70s. Slight possibility of 80s and a thunderstorm tomorrow, but I miss those kind of storms so I'd be ok with it. Hope the weather clears up there!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05017577882203582185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-62607610254293629382008-05-23T23:17:00.000-07:002008-05-23T23:17:00.000-07:00Whackadoodle. Not many tornadoes, very few actually, not much hail, wind, hurricanes, typhoons, thunderstorms, or anything else. Just lots of snow and ice in the winter. I can handle it, even though it is cold for many months of the year. Oh well, Spring, Summer, and Fall make up for it, even if they are the same amount of time as winter is!! (or so it seems!:)Christiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08621552249179937594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-73420222047905502762008-05-23T15:37:00.000-07:002008-05-23T15:37:00.000-07:00That is pretty whackadoodle for southern Californi...That is pretty whackadoodle for southern California. We had blazing heat up north here, then the north wind came in hard with plummeting temperatures, and now we expect some light rain over the weekend.
