We had some rain last night. Not a lot, but it was nice to listen to for a while before I fell back to sleep.
This sounds like what I heard. Thanks to
Paula Johnson for that, via
Monica Hubbard.
Lots of water flowing out at Hahamongna today. A lake and a river. Wind, sun, clouds.

The sound of the rain is one of Nature's greatest symphonies. So nice to read while listening to it too.
Good reflection with that first shot... and that bench could use some TLC!
I'd love to have lots more rain, Eric. California is parched.
No kidding, William! We were walking in Hahamongna Watershed Park, which is a transition between city and mountains. A beautiful place, and as long as it's left that way I don't care about the furniture!
Interesting photos. And they go with the sound of rain. We've been having quite a lot of rain here today. I hope you will hear the sound of rain more often.
Sounds heavenly!
I like your reflection and the decaying bench. Well done!
'simple needs' indeed.. that table definitely is screaming for some tlc..
I don't suppose the table (or bench, whatever) will be repaired. It's too far gone. It's not easy to keep wooden things nice out where wind, rain and brats can get to them.
I couldn't sleep during the rain. The sound was too unusual. People in rainier parts of the world will think that's pathetic, I'm sure. But isn't it lovely to have water in Hahamongna again? Is there any in the settlement basins yet? I heard that the water diversion gate is broken and they can't fill them. When there's water in them I love watching the swallows hunting insects and the egrets and herons hunting tadpoles.
There was a bit of water in the basins furthest north, but not much. We saw swallows, but no egrets or herons. No tadpoles.
The city tells us water is a problem, a big deal, etc. Fixing that water diversion gate would be a positive action, to say the least.
...and we had more rain Wednesday. Hope that's not the last of it.
I like to sleep with the sound of the rain on the trees.
It was nice to hear the rain drop effect and the thunder on the site.
Beautiful the picture with the reflection.
Me too, Hiker, we can always use more.
Sonia, rain on leaves is beautiful music.
I kind of like the bench. Just not a fan of that quickcrete civic inspired stuff that seems to be gaining popularity among the differing municipalities
I like the bench, too--a sort of elegant entropy. I'd rather see that than some plastic thing.
Fantastic reflections! Also love the layers on the decayed table top.
Thanks, José. You and I are fanciers of glamorous decay.
You all should take a look at José's blog, "Lisbon and the Sunny Coast," daily photos from Lisbon, Portugal. It's a gorgeous city, and visiting José's blog has put it at the top of my "must visit" list.
I'd sure love some of that rain now.
How quickly the weather changed, eh, Margaret? It was so hot today.
