I shot this photo out of the car window last night, just before the light changed from red to green. If there hadn't been any cars behind me I'd have lingered to gaze into all the windows at Mary Linn's Bridal shop at the corner of Fair Oaks and Green Street. The whole place is a Cinderella fantasy right now (complete with glass slippers in the lower left corner of the photo). The windows at Mary Linn's are always beautiful but right now they're especially spectacular.
Maybe it's because Valentine's Day is coming up (or looming, as some people might say) but I'm primed for a fairy tale. I don't expect I'll ever wear one of Mary Linn's amazing dresses, but it doesn't hurt to fantasize.

Elegant and stylish!!:)
sigh
Love the lighting! What a cool vintage look..The bouquet adds that pop.
Gunn, and these were just the dresses closest to the stoplight!
BD, I know.
I tried messing with this photo, Kalei--brightening it, sharpening it, etc. But no. It looks best as it is, a little dim, a little dreamy.
Fairytale photo!! Look at all those chandeliers!! You could always renew your vows, though I expect you didn't wear one of these beauties at your wedding?
Did you ever see that Australian movie about the girl who likes to try on wedding dresses? Anyone remember the name?
I did wear a pretty gown at my wedding, Bellis. It wasn't quite as fancy as these, but it was fanciful.
Looks like Venus de Milo & Marie Antoinette are getting hitched.
Would love to your P+J wedding photos one day.
That is such a lovely and romantic display!
JS, you make me laugh. I'd marry you again, even in a crappy dress.
I know what you're going to say. But you'd look weird in a dress, even a nice one.
Great shot, tule lights, chandeliers. Winter prom? Muriel's Weeding?
Muriel's Wedding, that's the one. Thanks.
I'm not a romantic but I can definitely appreciate that dreamy, sparkly window display. It's beautiful.
always fun to drive by there--
Today I drove by another wedding/formal shop but the stoplights weren't working in my favor. It's on the north side of Colorado Blvd., just east of Mentor. Must go back on foot. Smaller, less spectacular display but lovely dresses.
I think I don't care about such dresses and I have no place to wear them, but when they're standing in the window all expensive and everything, my little cylinders start clicking "want want want."
That window does always look pretty. I'll have to go and take a peek.
I almost bought a "(step) Mother of the Bride" dress there...it fit fabulous, loved the style, cocktail length...but it was black and I figured it was bad luck...bought a long dress, felt way overdressed...regretted that decision ever since!!!
They have a lovely wedding dress selection!
I'll bet you looked fabulous, Chieftess.
