I've dug in my heels. I refuse to raise the debt ceiling at our house. The people who live here have to learn to live within their means. Screw the consequences.
There will be no new sod in the back yard this summer. Suffer! There will be no beach vacation. Whine all you want, but it's not happening. Pay off last year's jaunt to Perris first, then maybe we can talk about Pacoima in the fall.
Some say I'll have our old people eating dog food. Well, at $2.20 a can for the prescription stuff, one old person in particular is going to have to come out of retirement and learn a marketable skill. I've cut spending to the bone. Now you're going to have to raise some revenue.
You may fight me tooth and tooth on this, but I've got a can opener and opposable thumbs and I don't care if you are a card-carrying member of the Flea Party, because I'm the president of our United Fates.

Yay for fiscal responsibility, Petrea. You'd make a great President.
And yay for Boz! Be sure and thank John for some fantastic photos. Your post title is spot on; I can almost feel and hear Boz giving it some wubbada.
I was thinking maybe it should be "wubbida." I'm just not sure.
Regrettably, Babel Fish is just as useless translating from the Dog as it is from the Japanese.
… and where the heck is everybody today?
I've learned that people don't comment when they don't have anything nice to say or when they disagree. (At least I don't.) So, since John's pictures are delightful, maybe it's something I said. You know how touchy folks can get over pupitics.
That's provocative.
OH I"m here and I love this for many reasons. Boz is right at the top along with your pithy comments! :) I'm still LOL over the Flea Party!
V
PS I SWEAR my wv is INDOG!
Hee hee hee. John's comment is the second funniest thing I've seen today, runner up only to Rupert Murdoch getting a custard pie in the face on live TV.
Excellent! (And where did Boz get that sudden burst of energy?)
Virginia, I so rarely get those good WVs. That one's perfect.

None of the videos really show it, but there are some good reactions. It's a Burma Shave pie, apparently, which can be very painful if it gets in the eyes. The people really hate Murdoch, but that's nothing new.
Hiker, Boz has plenty of energy when he decides to use it. For example, when we take a neighborhood walk he can barely make it, but at Hahamongna he runs and runs.
I'm still trying to figure out who is the "Top Dog" in your house. I think I have it narrowed to three.
I wonder if Boz likes custard pie?
Steven, we rearrange the furniture every morning so Boz's bed can be in the sun. Does that give you an idea?
Boz likes custard pie. He also likes bits of rotting things he finds on the sidewalk.
Ha! You crack me up, P. And Boz, well, he's a star.
I hope a visit to Pacoima this fall is in your budget.
looks like people started showing up....I can't speak for everyone else but I was visiting f2f this morning. Strange huh?
love the post!
I take it back. Those pictures are struck by genius.
(wv: thooom)
Hilarious!
Never could understand poly ticks. But I know a clever tail when I read it.
Susan, we've gathered the brochures and are dreaming big Pacoima dreams.
F2F? Book Dragon, wonders never cease.
Thoom! That's genius, all right. Nothing but genius around here.
MG, we ought to host hilarity more often.
Shanna. Speaking of clever.
poly ticks and Pacoima...now THERE's a tale!
I think Boz is qualified to run the country, even if he has to bring along his people with thumbs.
Heck, I'd vote for that.
Once when putting together a very detailed family budget I calculated the true costs of owning our (at the time three - 2 cats and a dog) pets. The total, with all the organic pet food and vet bills, was rather staggering. We could have taken a damn fine vacation every year for what we were spending on the furry creatures. Not that the cost of keeping the critters made any impact on my feelings towards them in the least - I marked the pet expenditures in red in our budget - meaning non-negotiable. Some things are priceless.
Now I'm just kind of meh on the photos.
Hey can I think about the pointed political commentary when there is a cutey wootie puppy doggy. Oh, good boy Boz. Boz,Boz,Boz,Boz.
Trish, since when does one need qualifications to get the vote?
Gina, I agree. Wubbida.
JS, that's a runner.
Margaret, I think we'll use that as Boz's campaign slogan.
LOL! Petrea---point being *I* think Boz is qualified, as opposed to most of the bi-peds who have run who seem to think they are qualified, but are not.
and John...meh, go out and stump for Boz!!! ;-)
give Boz a nuzzle for me, he deserves it
Tish, I nuzzled Boz for you several times today.
I'm late, as usual, but tell Boz I'd vote for him in a second! :-)
I can't tell if that last pic is fuzzy because of Boz shaking his head or because I'm laughing so hard!!!
BTW...save your money...I've been to Pacoima...
Hee hee...
