Boz: "ok boys, move them hooves along! horses aren't allowed on THIS patio, JUST dogs, move along boys, move along!" whew, did my job! where's my treat?
We used to have horse patrols in Pasadena (I mean recently, not in 1886!). There were mounted police that patolled Old Pasadena. Don't know if they are still around, but I think it's a much friendlier way to keep the peace.
Altadena has a volunteer mounted patrol that assists the mountain rescue unit.
As for zen...not being much one for badges...I'll take the ponies!
Boz goes to Hollywood relatively often. He's not impressed. He likes Pasadena cafes more than he liked this one--that is, he did, until the big dogs came by.
I love the idea of mounted police in the Dena, Laura. I haven't seen them--bikes, yes, horses no. But I'll be on the lookout.
I loved seeing the mounted police about when I was in New York years ago...their vantage point is great for spotting trouble, and I have to say, it made me feel all the more safe when walking late at night!

Lordy, look at 'em ... ahem, ponies.
Boz really wants a pony.
That's one happy looking policeman. But I suppose I'd be happy too if my job was to ride around the streets of Pasadena all day.
I'm with Tash, those are some nice looking ponies ;-)
oh, Boz got to come! That always makes for a happy dog.
I had a feeling we weren't in Pasadena anymore

Chock-full of beautiful creatures. Even the cops aren't bad looking.
Boz sees extra large doggies. Notice NO Litter in this scene...

Boz plans on how to one day fulfill his dream of being a police dog.

I'd like to help you out Boz, but I'm stumped, too.
I'm thinking there should be a book, "Boz's World," made up of pictures like these, captions and "Boz's Very, Very Bad Day."
I like Boz's "quizzical ears", wondering what's going on.

PIO, I'll bet you didn't know I have the Sons of the Pioneers Greatest Hits CD. Or maybe you did.
"I think that's Roy Rogers. I wonder where Bullett is?"
