Fast Friends

I hope you had a chance to get out in the spectacularity that was yesterday in Pasadena.

I took Boz over to the northwest side of Hahamongna Watershed Park, not our usual trail. It's good to shake things up. Boz met Freckles, a La Canada Flintridge dog, and the two of them hit it off. I also hit it off with Freckles's people, and the five of us spent a pleasant hour together in the urban wild.

Freckles is an afficionado of sticks. He made several additions to his collection. Boz likes to bite the water. A few yards west there was a tamer stream for him to bite.

Say, are those rapids?

For our purposes, those are rapids.

In related news, the Pasadena City Council will meet tomorrow, Monday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber (S249) at Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Avenue.
Agenda items include:
* Update on Devil’s Gate Dam sediment removal project by L.A. County Department of Public Works
* Proposed landmark designation for 1175 La Loma Rd.
* Recommended bond sales to help fund Rose Bowl Stadium renovation

The full agenda is here.
Thanks, Ann Erdman, for keeping me/us informed.

Look at that crisp mountain against the dramatic sky! Beautiful shot, with so much nature and beauty going on in it.

Ha ha, Hiker. I thought of you when editing this photo.

Gorgeous sky and butt. It was a spectacular day. Looks like today will be too. Are you going to the meeting tomorrow?

If all works out with work tomorrow, I'll be at the meeting.

By the way, the Council seems comfortable with observers coming and going during the proceedings. The meeting continues as citizens appear and disappear in the gallery, attending to speak about an item that interests them then leaving when that item is past. The County DPW Silt Removal Project is anticipated to come up at around 7:00 or thereafter.

It was a nice day wasn't it? I hope it's the start of great weather

Geez, I missed an even better day than usual? Mind you, I'm enjoying amazingly warm sunny weather in London.
I tried to cross to the east at the place where you were, but decided the river was too deep and too fast. Not often that happens in Hahamongna, is it?
I wonder what the council will decide or discuss?

There just seems to be more water everywhere, and I'm talking the flatlands. I hope the meeting goes well on Monday.

seems like the lead guy is saying you go first!

So much rain this winter has brought more water than we're used to. But that's because we're used to drought. I think this is like what normal is supposed to be.

What stunning scenery! And nice that there was plenty of water for Boz to bite and sticks for Freckles to gather since they probably didn't notice the great view.

A water biter, I knew that would be the case.

PS Hiker is spot on!

Petrea Burchard said...

True, Katie. Dogs care little for scenery.

You know so much about dogs, Virginia.

I've heard biting water is très therapeutique. Boz is so wise.

Petrea Burchard said...

Yes, and Boz knows all about therapy, Shell--giving and getting it.
