Theme Day: Reflections

Nordstrom shoppers at the Westfield Santa Anita Mall.

Here it is the first of the month again, and that means a City Daily Photo theme day. On the first I like to update you how many blogs we have in the family (1243), and today I'll also mention the newest, Oxford Daily Photo (UK). I spent a summer studying at Oxford in 1999 and I still miss it. Uhoh. A new blog to love.

Not every City Daily Photo blog participates in theme day.
Find out who's reflecting today!

The floor is really spick'n span. A perfect condition for your shot on this special day. I'm fascinated.

That's one shiny floor! I wonder if it's designed to distract people from reflecting too long on whether a purchase is wise or not.

Reflections that really sparkle!

Amazing how shiny that floor is, isn't it? I don't get to the mall often, and I was looking for reflections in mirrors and shop windows when I came upon that floor. I don't know if it's designed to distract, but in my case it did impress.

I think you could ice skate on that floor. Nice photo. I like it.

light rays are bouncing all around your photo - Newton would have loved it.

I'm currently reflecting on all the money I've spent in that very store!!!

As for looking down, I couldn't help it--I was shopping for shoes!

I enjoy seeing the results of this exercise. How all my friends have a unique vision.

So are these guys reflecting on how they ended up at the mall again? I haven't been to a Nordstrom in a while - do they still have live piano players? I remember they used to do that.

I remember hearing piano music but I didn't look around. I assumed it was live. Does anyone know the answer?

Squeaky clean.
Sometimes such floors embarrass me because the soles of my hiking boots start squeaking.

A summer at Oxford! Lucky you!
Thanks for directing us to the new Oxford DP. It is very welcoming, with harp music as heard in the pub.

Yeah, why is it that more CDP bloggers don't do theme day?

Maybe the same reason I don't do the alphabet days and Skywatch Friday and bridges day, etc? Too much restriction and planning ahead. Free spirits!

Thanks for the Theme days and Zen photo days. More than 1200 daily photo blogs, huh? How do I sign up?
