Duplex

Just...picturing the cute little people who live here.

Maybe it's one of those clocks where mannequins come out every hour on the hour and circle around, marching like tin soldiers or knocking up and down like those drinking bird toys.

Or it could be storage space.

Last week Vanda and I went on a photo safari in the San Fernando Valley. Some of the results are on Overdog, should you care to have a look.

Oh, I love your visions of this, Petrea! Very cute, indeed. Even a little tiny patch of grass. I had little things on my mind today, too.

Very cool old airport pics on Overdog.

I think a set of twins lives there. (Oh Zen Monday was yesterday.) Nice photo.

Well I had to go take a peek at that, Shell. Meep!

That's it, Dina. A cuckoo clock. I wonder what other people will come up with?

Magicpolaroid, thanks! I just took a peek at your blog and I like it. Very unusual and creative.

Mark, I thought of saving this for Zen Monday. Seeing as I've got nothing for next week yet, maybe I should have. Could Pasadena be out of Zen? I doubt it. I must go forth and find it.

Did you wait around for the top of the hour to see if an adorable mechanical couple came out?

There's a cottage-style duplex across the street from my house that's just darling. The various renters over the years have mostly been students at William Carey University and therefore nice, stable neighbors.

If this was taken in parts of WV, I'd say his 'n' hers out houses.

Sunland? maybe, but for me more like Glendale...

When I was a waitress at Tiny Naylor's across from Forest Lawn, I'd regularly get some of the local remaining "Munchkins" from the Wizard of Oz...and they always requested my table.

Doghouse duplex!

P. Jim, I wish you weren't so right.

I've got to get over there with my camera, Ann. It's like a secret or something.

Okay, Susan you made me laugh. PA, you made me wistful. And Chieftess, you made me all pleased with mah bad self.

Well, I think this is where Tweedledum and Tweedledee live, and I bet they share a common staircase behind their individual doors.

Huzzah for photo safaris. And here I thought our duplex was small. :)

Vanda's a good scout. Now I'm off to overdog.

Petrea Burchard said...

Go ahead, Kat, say it!

I think the proper word is
"monochromaticticity," Virginia.

Bellis, if that's the case then Tweedledee and Tweedledum are being duplicitous.

Wish I had time for more safaris, Amy.

That she is, Hiker.

I love it. Of course, I love it.

Definitely...Tweedledee and Tweedledum's matching homes!!!

I thought of you when this first popped up on my screen, Elaine.

Great minds think alike, Louis. Well--sometimes.
