Because I couldn't find any runners or bikers during my small window of photo-taking time today, this is my way of reminding you that the Pasadena Marathon takes place tomorrow.
Weird, because there's usually someone running or biking pretty much wherever I go in Pasadena. It's a health- and fitness-minded place. There are more gyms in town than there are Starbucks (I'm not kidding), we have 24 city parks with facilities for everything from swimming to archery to baseball, and you can even go walking with the Mayor and his buds if you're willing to get up really early on a Wednesday morning. And I haven't even mentioned our miles of beautiful hiking trails.
(Could they have done a more believable job on the marathon website woman's cleavage? That's almost good enough for Photoshop Disasters.)
Recognize the corner? They've been fixing up the place and they're not finished yet.
UPDATE 11/16: THE MARATHON HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE LOW AIR QUALITY CAUSED BY SMOKE FROM SURROUNDING BRUSH FIRES.

Thanks for the invite! Great to see you again too. You are a brilliant actress.
Hey, Translucent Sawhorses … I have all their records.
Thanks 4 reminding me of the Marathon here on sunday. Last nite we were cruising down de Boulevard when we saw this lighted sign saying a part of Colorado was gonna be closed on Sunday for most of the day.
I said, "now what? A new test rose float run or what??"
Notice the marathon people didn't say anything about us dogs? They know we would run by y'all, leaving you all looking more like marathon WALKERS!
Yes, really, cleavage practically up to her tonsils. Good thing they're both wearing black shorts.
Either that, or she should sue her plastic surgeon.
I think you should offer yourself as the guest celebrity blogger on Dec. 3 with the mayor (LOOK at your follower count!). You're a professional actress, which enables you to suck it up for the extremely early hours.
(Did Ben get to see the show?)
Sounds exhausting!
Are you ok? I'm hearing about all the fires. Is that a long way from you or what?
Ha, of course I had to go right to the website like a 3rd grader! Yep, it's really bad. I'll send Wayne over. He's the CDP cleavage expert as far as I can tell. BTW, want me to pick up any toys, I mean souvenirs for you and E. in Paris???? :)

Did Cafe Observer just use the word, "ya'll"?? Well hush my mouth! A closet southerner.
I'm a whole coast away from the fun, so I'll comment on the Photoshop musings...
Yeah, this is a classic example of what I say often at work.
You can't check what you did, you'll miss
Paris in the
the spring
A million times, where as the next guy will spot it at once.
I'm still laughing at that weird photoshop cleavage. Wow.
Lynn: The Sylmar fires are about 20 miles away from us here in Pasadena, and travelling the opposite direction (toward the Pacific Ocean). But surprising nonetheless to wake up to the pictures on the news this morning. Our prayers go out to them and everyone in Santa Barbara too.
Petrea: I had never seen Photoshop Disaster's blog. That's priceless. and thanks for reminding me about the Marathon; I had a brain melt yesterday and couldn't remember why all the road block equipment was out all over Pasadena.
Your building looks very urban/suburban San Gabriel Valley-ish in the golden afternoon (or morning?) light. I love high-contrast shadows.
Thank you, Ben.:)
The Adjective Nouns are my faves, Bernie. Our musical tastes are similar.
The dogs I know wouldn't do well in a marathon, C.O. They'd have to stop and sniff stuff every few yards.
Benjamin, I'm laughing about the shorts. Took me a minute.
Elaine, if I were a celebrity I'd do it.
Lynn, you're sweet to notice. Loren (HearkenCreative) answered your question, I think. Thank you, Loren.
Virginia, just take good pictures and post them on your blog. And an Hermès scarf, please.
No, no, no, don't bring me anything. Just post about your trip and I'll live through you vivaciously! (and John said he'd like a 1984 Fermez la Bouche, if you can find it.)
Ted, I had to look twice. Proof of the need for proofreading, and three heads are better than two.
I know, Laurie. Looks like she's going to choke on it.
Yeah, Loren, you gotta check in at Photoshop Disasters from time to time, and perhaps make the occasional contribution.
You must have been up really early. Will you take pictures of the runners tomorrow?
Somebody goofed on the marathon website, by my calculations it shows a countdown based on it starting about 9PM the previous day... LOL
I'm hoping that the smoke won't be too bad. My son and I will be taking part in the bike tour.No way am I running that thing.
Good running to all in the marathon. I for one will pass and just cheer them on. I really can't see myself running in a marathon ever in my life. I'm glad others have a great time doing it though!
P, 2nite I heard the marathon authorities R gonna decide before 6am sunday morn if de 1st marathon is gonna b cancelled. Why? due 2 de xtra smoggy air from the fires.
Sadly the marathon had to be canceled due to poor air quality caused by the fires.
Thanks Loren, goodness 20 miles isn't far in a strong wind is it? Thinking of you.
Thank you Ann and C.O.
The air is just too bad today from all the fires that surround us, thus it's fitting that the marathon was canceled. Too bad, though.
I like the "controluce" in this shot...
