Mills Place Tour: South of Colorado

If you read yesterday's post, you know we're on a tour of Mills Place. We've just turned south of yesterday's photo and we're looking at the same building. On one of last week's very hot days, I stood in the shade and photographed the sunny side of the alley. We'll head further south tomorrow.

I like the angle you chose!

I like the angle too and the light and the contrast and the clean lines, a very cool graphic design.
Refreshing.

I am big on alleys, myself.

Ain't it the truth! The little side streets always are more fun to explore.

Love this photograph. Great shadows, fab composition. Really catches the eye and makes you want to look further.

Again this is another of your images that remind me of a hopper painting. It's the bold use of one or two colours with those really dark defined contrasting shadows. Basically, love it. Alleys are a hidden treasure for a photographer.

Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure if this would work, but I guess sometimes simpler is better. I'm attracted to plain lines.

Life Observer, my camera's an Olympus SP350. Nothing fancy. I left you a longer message on your very nice blog.

Great photo - love the shadows especially. Are these apartments? I want to see inside!!

I love the old fire escapes. It makes me think of the old movies, like the Bowery Boys that I would watch at my Grandmas house.

You know what, Katie, I don't know. I don't think so. The downstairs is the shop in the previous post. Above would probably be offices. I think that part of Old Town isn't zoned for living spaces but don't quote me on that.
