Zona Rosa Caffe

The website of Zona Rosa Caffe boasts "a relaxing, unhurried and intimate experience." They mean it.

Have you ever sat at a coffee shop with your book or laptop, and soon felt like the staff (ahem) needed the table? At Zona Rosa you're welcome to linger over your coffee (imported from Mexico or Latin America, most likely). If you sit upstairs you can listen to music and examine the artwork. Outside, enjoy your conversation or the breeze.

The other day we drank iced lattes and watched a limousine wait outside the Pasadena Playhouse next door. If we'd lingered a while longer we might have seen someone get in it. It didn't matter. The weather was lovely and the lattes were perfect.

You might enjoy Zephyr. It's located in an old craftsman house that's been converted into a coffee shop. 2419 East Pasadena on Colorado. music-patio-art-paninis.

oh - I can feel it.
I've been transported.
I'm sitting there, chilling out, definitely with an iced latte (I love them!)
oh, exhale.... that's just what I needed.
Thanks Petrea!

Palm: I will, have and do.

We have several good "non-chain" spots in town and I hope they'll all let me take pictures.

What an inviting looking place! I really like this photo -- makes me want to stop by right now! Again, another reason for me to come to Pasadena! You're going to lure me down there before you know it!

Come on down, Katie! We'll alert the locals, gather up the PDP frequenters around here, and see if we can scare up a caipirhina or whatever you call it.

If the Michelin people see that blue dog dish Zona Rosa might be in danger of getting docked a star or two. But what do I know? They might have a paté and truffle kibble that is to die for.

I noticed the bowl, too, Tall Gary. There weren't any dogs there so I don't know what it was for. Dogs are allowed at the outdoor tables, though, so maybe it was there just in case.

It could be used as a water dish. Good for Zona Rosa.
