Zen One

This building at the corner of Foothill and Daisy is for sale. I'd guess it was built in the early- to mid-20th century, despite the 19th century look. The fact that the builders took the trouble to make a mundane thing such as a vent into an attractive detail may speak about the rest of the building. It may not. I didn't notice the missing flashing until I blew up the photo. That just makes me like it more.

Isn't it interesting, Petrea! Big enough to convert into a lovely home? An office? A recording studio? lol.

I wouldn't even have noticed the missing flashing if you hadn't mentioned it - I was transfixed by the vent!

I haven't been inside, Lynn. From the outside it looks big enough for an office and/or a recording studio. Probably not zoned for a home. Do you have that in Cheltenham? Zoning, I mean.

Isn't it funny, Ararat? I was transfixed by the vent, too. Had to take a photo of it.

I like the brick work around the vent and the last few courses at the top.
Nice.

I'll have to go over there and look at that. Thanks!

Alas, I wanted to office in that building.....but there is virtually NO PARKING! Relying on Pasadena street parking is not realistic...knowing that Pasadena could put meters up overnight!

Its a great space, though!

I wouldn't have thought of that, Isaac, but you are so right. So far it's easy to park there on side streets, but as soon as four new businesses move in, that could change in a heartbeat.
