Sparkle House

I wonder if there's a rule in the etiquette books about how long one is allowed to display one's holiday decorations. Not that it matters.

This sparkly house was a beacon of charm in yesterday's rain. The peacock munching bugs at the curb added to the pleasing eccentricity of the place.

What is a peacock doing in Pasadena? And yes! There's definitely a rule about sparkling houses on the 25th of January. The rule specificaly says, "Disconnect, disconnect"!

Is that a French rule? Fourth or Fifth Republic? I can never keep it all straight.

It's Michael's rule I suppose. Unless it's ME that has to take them all down. Then I'm open to procrastinating until I feel like it. :-)

The house looks very nice, even if it is the end of January.

I usually give people until January 11th. The date is based off a very important American holiday... okay, not really, its my birthday and I've considered it the official END of Holiday trees and lights.
