One Special Evening

When writers sit and talk about writing it can be so boring! Blah blah structure blah blah grammar blah blah Strunk & White blah blah blah.

But when you've got me, Margaret and Désirée you've got Ideas! Subtext! Conflict, baby!

And you don't just sit there and listen. You participate.

Come on down, over and/or up to San Marino's Crowell Public Library this coming Monday, January 13th and let's have ourselves a blast.

I don't have a photo of the library so here's one of San Marino's Lacy Park. You can tell what a nice place San Marino is. And it's just the other side of the Huntington!

(blah blah)

  1. Oh lucky locals who'll get to attend this! I am also going to pretend I'm in that bottom pic, with the sun (not the sub-freezing tropical weather here). Happy 2014 and I see it's already off to a great start!

  2. I wish you all could be here!

Lulu, I switched the photo to the top and I'm mentioning it so your comment doesn't look strange.

  3. Kat's given you a wonderful write-up. It'll be packed! Did you know that the trees in Lacey Park were planted by the man who landscaped the Huntington Ranch for Henry Huntington? It's on the site of a large natural lake that was filled in because of the mosquitoes. And you have to live in San Marino to get in at weekends!!

  4. What a line up -- I know this will be a fabulous evening! So wish I could be there. Can't wait to hear more about it and see photos though. Worth going early to sit in that gorgeous park.

Really enjoyed this post of yours, Petrea. So fun to read...and love seeing the park too :). Know it well.

  9. Patrizzi, if people really, really want to talk about the blah blah, maybe we will. As long as it's fun.

If you come with all these bloggers, V, it will most surely be a blast.

Lauren, I hope you're keeping warm over there!
