Happy New Year

Here's wishing you a 2012 filled with good things: love, light and beauty--or whatever you think is good, maybe you don't like those things, maybe you want dissonance, piglets and toe shoes. I hope you get them. Maybe you want an arrogant boyfriend, a new haircut, guitar lessons, a trip to Australia.

I don't care what you want, I hope you get it in 2012, as long as it doesn't take advantage of anyone else, hurt anyone else or look down its nose at anyone else (which may preclude the arrogant boyfriend).

Thank you for your visits to Pasadena Daily Photo this year. And happy new year to you! Have fun (if that's what you want).

  1. Wishing you, John and Boz a happy and healthy 2012, Petrea. Thank you for bringing some sun and fun and inspiration to my 2011.
Much as I'd like to wish for a trip to sunny Pasadena this coming year I think I'll settle for a little dissonance (I can do without the arrogant boyfriend).

  4. What a lovely photo. Starting the year off with an image of beauty--priceless. Making people smile--a true gift. That's about the best new year's wish I've ever read. Covers just about everything!

  5. Good morning on this new year's eve day.

See, Dive, I knew there was at least one person out there who actually wanted dissonance. Happy new year.

And do you, Dina, my friend.

Thank you, Book Dragon, that is what I want! HNY to you, too!

Bayside Life, I'm glad you said that. I was hoping to cover everything but as you know, nobody reads those really long blog posts. Thank you and Happy New Year!

  6. Happy New Year to you, too. Thanks for adding a little piece of happiness in my life every day with your words and pictures here. After a rather rough year, something fabulous just happened to make 2012 so much better. Hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve, if it's in your jammies at home or whooping it up on the town!

  9. Happy New Year to you and yours....as we enter the final days of the weird period. Separated by Colorado Blvd to the north and the Arroyo to the east.

  10. Likewise, Desiree. You too, PA. We've hunkered down with our supplies and will come out again in a few days.

  11. Warm, cozy, yummy pic to end the year on. Thanks, Petrea for this bog, your photo sharing, your thoughts, your generosity. I hope 2012 proves to be an "up" year for those who have had to struggle these past many, many years.

Here's to chasing our dreams and crossing that finish line (so that we can find another dream to pursue!).

    Happy, Happy to you.

  12. Ending the year on a giggle and a beautiful picture! I knew it!

I'll pass on the arrogant boyfriend---had too many of those years ago--am over quota.

I'm just happy to settle for 2012 being a damn far sight better than 2011.

Hope you and John and Boz have a nice quiet few days hiding from the revelers and a wonderful new year!

wv: aersephi---we would venture out into Pasadena, but we're afraid of running into too many drunk aersephi roaming the streets

  13. Happy New Year to those with two legs and those with four. I Will be tuning in to watch the Granddaddy of all Parades. Do I tune in tomorrow or is it on Monday? And what about "Zen Monday?" Will that be pushed to Tuesday? Now I'm totally confused.

  14. That's a good hope, Kat. Let the struggles be over. In fact, I'm making it my new year's resolution! Thanks for your good wishes.

Trish, I can never get enough arrogant boyfriends so maybe I'll make that a resolution, too. You have a happy new year.

Tune in Monday, Steven. The Tournament of Roses has a "never on Sunday" policy, so the parade will be on January 2nd this year. I see no reason not to have a Zen Monday as well, do you?

  19. You sort of got me started on this blog journey I began last June. I've *met* people to whom I'd otherwise never have had access, who have helped me expand and brighten my sometimes solitary little world. I am gratefdul to you all and wish you, John and Boz all the best for 2012.

  21. Happy New Year, dear Petrea. My hopes are more down the love, light and beauty path, but perhaps some piglets and a new haircut would be fun. Thank you for being you.

  22. Awesome photo! All my best wishes for a very happy new year to PB&J and the Pasadena Daily Photo gang. I'm in Minnesota bringing in the new year and tonight it snowed (there was none when I arrived) and I can't wait to go build a snowman in the morning. Here's to a year where simple pleasures abound!
