Zen Monday: #55

Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what the photo's about.

As I post each new Zen Monday photo, I'll add a label to last week's to identify it if necessary (if I know what it is).

  1. I think my post this morning is in complete synchronicity with your Zen Monday. I love that!

  2. The word "probation" does not bestow what I think of as a zen feeling of calm. LOL! - Maybe a good title would be "Probation needs shoring up." or "Probation gets a facelift."

My cousin's name was Petrea and I always thought that is was a pretty name. And unusual. Glad to see that there is another in the world with that name!

  3. Yeah, Nikki, I was thinking about "Justice needs a facelift." Unfortunately, even with a facelift, this building is one of the most boring in downtown Pasadena (with that black monolithic office complex on Colorado being the exception — even worse).

  7. -Probe Nation-

Yes folks! With the Anything Goes Bushy Patriot Act (still in effect) you too can experience what is behind this door simply by answering your telephone. FREE!

Disclaimer: This door may only be available after a required extensive and traumatizing jail term. ENJOY!

  8. This building was the first to ignore the height limit placed around our Pasadena City Hall block. The Pasadena City Hall Observation deck was deemed to be open space with 360 degree views. This structure obscures a beautiful mountain view.

Zen +..We are all on probation......

  9. Whoa! Look at that - 55th Zen Monday. I think your probation period is over. LOL on the photo.

Love the "we are all on probation" comment!

  10. The County of Los Angeles Probation Office? Now when somebody says, "You're on probation," you will know just where you are.

  11. Obviously in need of renovation - maybe the attendees could be made to assist

  12. So is "doing hard labor" one of the penalties for violation of probation? :-)

  15. I realize probation is far from Zen as Nikki B. pointed out. This whole idea came from the Zen idea of learning through experience as opposed to being told something or learning by rote. That's why I use the phrase "experience the photo" in the caption.

Today it felt turned around, as I experienced your comments.

However, if there were a prize for Zen Monday, today it would have to go to Susan Manning for the shiny new word she coined.
