What do this place...

...and these men...

...have to do with this? And what the heck is this, anyway?

Amazing view from here, and from the tags, more than one kind of view!

Yes! I've been a bit slow to post lately, so hopefully if I break it up into small chunks I can put up more. I don't know how you do it, William.

The Evans Brothers are remarkable. They have put time into the giant engines at my old farm in Glendora, too. There is nothing like watching these relics run like new.

Hi Scottford! The next post will have some links and a video so folks will get to watch this particular relic run, thanks to the Evans brothers.

I have no clue what it is but I'm pretty sure it is not a flux capacitor. I'm thinking whoever those men are, they are pretty smart and possibly good with their hands.

I think I know and I'm excited to finally find out how it's done. Looks like you risked your life to take that first photo, but what a view! I can almost see my old house.

Shell, it might be the closest thing to a flux capacitor that we have around here. And I think you're right about the men.

Bellis, I didn't risk my life for this one. Later I'll show you the ones I risked my life for. Don't let me forget.

What a view! Great details at the bottom shot.

José, I'm shooting with an iPhone. This machine has so many pretty details that even with my "camera" I can't go wrong.

Of course, I won't have a clue. But, I got John to have a look. Looking at the flywheel, he thinks it is a 50 horsepower generator for electric power. Now I'll have to Google these chaps. That view is spectacular!

John's got it. I'm getting more stuff ready to post!

Whatever it is, they keep it polished.

Yup. Shiny.

Love the view of the valley! At first I thought it was a brewery. Now, I think it's something astronomical. The machine may be related to a telescope and these men keep it running?

You've got it, Lowell. There's more to come!
