Rain
Well, that was nice. For some of us.
A certain person named Wilma charged bravely out the back door to secure the perimeter against rain-crazed squirrels. Then she came in and crashed from the stress, curling up in her bed and moaning with disgust. Either that or she was snoring.
It's a good day to curl up, preferably with a book, but for some people that's not an option.

You mean Wilma is ... is illiterate? Poor girl!
Beautiful patterns in your rain puddle.
Wilma did her express duty against those devious rascals, and deserves a good nap. And a treat.
It didn't rain for long here but then I was reading so it might have {blush}
Good job Wilma! Do you think she could teach our cats? We've got two squirrels now but at least the fire ants are gone!
Dina, that was an out-loud laugh. We are working with her and she's beginning to understand our language, but I don't know if she'll ever read it.

She did, William, and we pamper her (note the new stadium blanket).
I'd like Wilma to give up on the squirrels, BD, but she's determined.
Love this brindle girl. And her blankie.
She's a good girl. Or a "goo geu," as I've been calling her.
Ganske liten en.
Put that in your Google translator. Is that what you say to Albert?
Yay for rain! I know you need it.
Wilma's a very good girl, bravely racing out in the rain to protect the yard. She knows you just can't trust a squirrel.:-)
The rain only lasted a few minutes, Ms M, but it was such a pleasure to smell it on the soil and feel its cool tip-tap on my skin.
Lucky Wilma! She looks very content with that blankie over her. Your top photo is superb! I learned a new word today from another FB friend. Petrichor, the scent of rain on dry earth.
YAY for rain and Wilma!
That's lovely, Bellis. A new word is a gift. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petrichor
Yay for both, Maya!
Wilma looks adorable curling up in her bed!
Beautiful rain picture, Petrea.
Thank you, Sonia. Nature made the rain picture, bless her!
I suspect boxers are snorers
You're so right, PA.
Wilma's snores are darling, of course.
Boz's snores were softer and very sweet.
I'm jealous about your rain, even if it didn't last but a few minutes. Great photo! And that Wilma is looking awfully cute all snuggled up on her fuzzy bed.
Still wishing for more rain, Katie, but it sure was nice while it lasted.
Lovely composition, Petrea! I guess the rain was kind of a releif for you out there. We're having rain here today... and it's just Sep. 10th... Please!
I hope you don't have the same kind of storms you had last year in Portugal. We wouldn't mind at least a good downpour.
I hope so too! This morning it rained cats and dogs and there were floods, traffic was a mess - chaos! Things seem to be so out of balance. Now it's sunshine and hot as summer usually is.
Things are out of balance. I'm comforted that they have been so before. Still, I think there's much we can do to make it better.
