Come one, come all to the Central Library this Saturday, February 22nd, 10am-12pm, for the Love Our authors Celebration!
Many, many local authors and publishers will be in the auditorium with their books, looking forward to a chat with you. Even the Pasadena Symphony will contribute Random Acts of Music. I imagine if you don't show up we'll talk amongst ourselves, but it would be nice to see you.
You can buy a book or not buy a book or buy twenty. The event is free, so come and snoop/browse/schmooze.
While you're at it, I suggest you sign up for the library's newsletter. There's so much going on there it's the only way to keep track.

3 - 5? As I just woke up, looks like I'll be missing it!
Love the bench :-D
I've always loved a good book. A shame I live so far away. Not enough (read: none at all) opportunities to meet celebrities in this state.
BD, I wish. I'm not much of a morning person either.
I don't know where you live, Chr0noid, but just give 'em a reason. They'll come.
Yay yay for C&V! I love how active your library is, it's like the community 'living room' (what some locals call our library). It adds so much to quality of life!
It's a great library. Or I should say, libraries. There are several branches and all are busy.
I'm so happy Pasadena Public Library is recognizing you, Petrea!
Catherine Haskett Hany, communications manager for the Pasadena Public Library system, does a great job on the monthly newsletter. Cathy was part of my PIO Team when I was the Pasadena PIO and she's one of the people I really miss working with.
Well, I don't know if they're recognizing me, but when I heard about the event I called, and they said I could come...
Oh I love that top shot, Petrea! You make me laugh. Hope you sell lots of books on Saturday. Sounds like a super event!
Thanks, Lauren! I don't mind selling but mostly I just hope we all have a good time.
That's quite an event to fit into 2 hours. With that many authors, I hope masses of people come with loaded wallets and buy lots of books - yours especially. I'm sorry it clashes with Tim Martinez's walk around the Rosemont Preserve.
Me too. Tim's walks are always fun and instructive. But he will do more, and there will be more book events. As Ann Erdman says, there's always plenty to do in Pasadena!
I meant finally recognizing the fact that you're a local author along with the rest! I was pleased to see that Camelot & Vine is on display.
I gave you a shout-out on my Free Events blog post today.
Aha! Thank you, Ann.
What a fun event!!! so sorry I couldn't make it!!!
Sounds that the event will be great!
I like the bench and the autumn leaves on it and all around.
Hope it was a smashing success!
…if the bench is teak wood - it still has life
Thanks, everyone, it was a lot of fun.
I think we got that bench at a grocery store, PA. I have my doubts.
