Mmmm … Not just slushies, but "gourmet" slushies, fresh from the "kitchen".

Love the reflection, Petrea.

Or, 'gourmet help wanted in the kitchen'?
yep u have quite a few of reflections there!.

my kitchen needs help, too.

Slushies seem appropriate for a "cold day in hell". (look closely.)

It's not exactly a kitchen, if you know what I mean. It shares certain functionality with a kitchen, but no one would really mistake if for a kitchen. Even when I talk about it, for the sake of honesty and precision, I say kitchen but add air quotes.

Gourmet or not...slushies aren't my thing...

There may be things cooked up in the "kitchen" for which it deserves the quotes, such as, how did the black chair levitate itself to the level of the table? Those slushies may be really special - not gourmet, just special.

I didn't realize 'til today what a weird picture it is.

I should mention that I like this restaurant a lot.

I really hope that "Kit Chen" finds this sign carefully hidden in this window! Get the world out now, they need her at the Gourmet Slushie place!

It's like a "kit chen" collage....

What kind of help does the "kitchen" need?

Any job offered...

Really. If you're looking for work, send me an email and I'll let you know where this is.

It makes me think I need a job.

You never know what you'll find there.

Heehee, maybe the "help" is in for a surprise in the "kitchen"! I do love the strangeness of the scene.

In a country where the unemployment rate is almost 18%, this is the kind of sign you will sadly not find in years to come.

I hope it doesn't take that long, JM, but I suppose you're being realistic. I'm told things are getting better here. I don't feel it, but I've heard of two job openings this month.

I am being realistic, Petrea. Our economy has grown 1,1% but it's all seasonal... it's summer and Portugal is literally (and fortunatelly!) full with tourists, who actually represent 9% of Portugal's GDP. The other day I was astonished when I heard how much income golf brings to this country! Something I have never thought about.

JM, I've told my husband we must go to Portugal if we make enough money before we get too old! This is all due to your photos, so please keep posting them.
