Poopy Love

Somebody sure loves their dog.

I know how they feel. And our pets need our love, especially on those evenings when they track poo into the house on their toes. You know, just as an example.

  1. Could this be the back door entrance to the home of Sirius? After all, he did need a place to poop, too, out there amid the constellations of Hollywood stars.

  2. Nice piece of artwork!.. Looks like a symbol of someone who will always be waiting!.

  3. Speedway, you could be right. His collar is made of stars.

Thank you, Stefan. I walk by this often, so what I really spotted was the opportunity to photograph the gate when it was closed and it wasn't dark out yet!

KBF, I wonder about it. I don't think there's a dog living in this yard. Maybe the previous owner painted it, or the current owner misses someone.

  4. Perhaps it's one of those "warning, guard dog on duty" signs...only more subtle!!!

  5. Nice find! I'm with you on the pets needing our love especially on those 'special occasions' (all is forgiven when they turn their sweet eyes on you:)

  6. Right, Chieftess, maybe they DO have a dog!

So true, Lulu. Dogs need and want discipline, but some things they can't help.

  7. Worse yet is when they track it in and then try to clean it up. I love the gate.

  8. I can't complain about that. I have tracked in dog poop on my shoes on more than one occasion.

  9. Aw, the dog jumped over the moon - a reworking of the classic children's rhyme for us urbanites!

  10. True, we're not likely to see cows painted on gates in Pasadena. But I've been wrong before, just like I've dragged dog poop in on my shoes before, which is about as wrong as you can get.

  11. A special astral dog, with stars as a collar....
It's so fun finding little "neighborhood secrets", like this gate. Good observation!

  12. Sirius was what I first thought of as well. Orion the hunter's dog. I guess if he ever stepped into poop, he could wipe his feet on a bit of dark matter.

  13. Ms. M, I'll state right here and now that I know all my neighborhood's secrets. That way, the neighborhood will begin immediately to prove me wrong.

    Bellis, that made me laugh!
