Glossy

If it hasn't been long enough since the last Boz pic, blame Shell Sherree's "London Kiss" for putting me in a romantic mood.

This, as if you couldn't tell, is Boz's "come hither and pet me" look. His star quality is hard to resist: his Bark Gable swagger, his Gary Pooper eyes, his Robert Pant prance, his Brad Pitt Bull grin, his... (you take it from here).

Some of Boz's other names are Gaseous Clay, Farty Arbuckle and Stink, so you see he needs all the star power he can get.

Isn't it great when we can capture them just at that right moment?! How about the strong, yet graceful Giles Marini-Manos?

Well, I hope you have printed and framed this photograph. What a work of art... Boz at his very best!

He was definitely ready for his close-up. A handsome fellow by any name.

Delightful portrait of sweet sweet Boz. And your names for him are cracking me up!

Petrea Burchard said...

You sent me googling, KBF. I had no idea who he was. But sure!

Thanks for the suggestion, Geoff, I'll do it.

Thanks, Bayside.

Katie, "Uncle Bumps" didn't fit with the theme so I left it out.

I'm impressed that your movie star still insists on eyeliner, noseblacking, and nail polish before he's photographed.

Petrea Burchard said...

Bellis, he has a reputation to uphold (and I do mean reputation!). Thank goodness he's not insisting on plastic surgery.

@Petrea: I guess u missed the Sex and the City #2 with Mr. Marini? he was mentioned for days- they even had online the snippet of his shower scene from that crazy movie.

Petrea Burchard said...

I missed all of Sex and the City. Don't tell the Altadena Hiker, but I haven't been much of a TV fan.

BettyS said...

Oh my gosh - you and I must be the only women in the US who missed ALL of Sex & the City! We need to form a club. Boz is beautiful and I was doing the LOL thing at his other names.

That is definitely a Bark Gable look!!! Love your names!!! Our old girl Daisy had quite a few nicknames too...but my personal favorites were "Fluffybutt" and "Twinkle toes"!!! After going to the groomer she'd come back with a Fluffybutt and she'd walk around on Twinkle Toes!!!

Aaaww … Such a beautiful portrait of Mister Handsome. You had me laughing so hard at your gloriously excruciating puns. Thanks for setting me up for the weekend, Petrea.

Petrea Burchard said...

I saw a couple of episodes, Betty, but never got caught up in it.

Chieftess, share some more!

Dive, you are welcome to add your own. Everyone is. The more excruciating the better.

what a face!

Someone give him a starring role! I love Farty Arbuckle. Boz has marquee quality:)

Petrea Burchard said...

He marques pretty much everything he passes.

Petrea Burchard said...

Am I the only punster? Feel free to add your own. For instance, if your dog is a female star she might be Gwyneth Pawtrow, or Beyonce Nose.

Shell Sherree said...

So debonair. I find grey hair on a man rather fetching. Ok, Petrea, this will make your eyes water but you invited excruciating. How about Jean Digjardin...

How about "The Look" of Mr. Darcy? Oh, Lordy, that still melts me!

And I have never seen even 5 minutes of "Sex & the City". However, I have seen every episode of "Deep Space Nine".

Try as I might, you just can't beat Teddy-Butt.

John Sandel said...

I should start charging royalties for that one … but I'd have to pay myself.

Petrea Burchard said...

Brilliant, Shell! That's a double pun, excellent.

Laura, no woman is immune to Mr. Darcy.

Hiker, that's because it's the most accurate (besides Gary Pooper and the farty names). I like Tallulah Butthead, but it misses the mark.

I don't think cats lend themselves well to satire. Vic used to call one of my cats Sneakin Deacon and I had one I called Tigger Sputnik

Awwww, who could resist that look? And the lighting from the window is wonderful.

Your "punny" names are so funny! Excellent! As are other puns in the comments!

Alas, I'm not too "punny" tonight after a long work week. Maybe tomorrow....

The 'Furminator,' Collie Furth, Peter O'Drool, Doggie Bowser, Gassie.

Petrea Burchard said...

I think you're right, PA, though I've seen cat slapstick.

If you think of any, just come on back, Ms. M.

Speedway, love! These are great.

Speedway said...

And what about the Barx Brothers - Groucho, Harpo, Chico, and Zeppo!

Speedway said...

I've sometimes thought I'd name my black standard poodle Spike Lee, my bloodhound would be Basset Rathbone.

Speedway said...

... and my little curly-tailed buddy would be S.K. Puggles Sakall.

Petrea Burchard said...

You go, Speedway! I wracked my brains trying to come up with dog names for the individual Barx Brothers, but I'm at the end of my puns.

Okay, one more. The Beagles: John, Pawl, Gorge and Dingo.

Speedway said...

For my next cat, I'd like to have a handsome, sleek male I would name after a 3-time winner of the Indy 500 - Dario Frankitty.

Dina said...

I'd love to come thither and pet sweet Boz.

Petrea Burchard said...

You're welcome any time, Dina. He especially likes having his chest petted.

Dina said...

Chest? OK, I'll remember. Boz will be my bosom friend.
