'Bye

Seeing as the world is ending today, I thought I'd say goodbye, and thanks. It's been fun. As I write this (I pre-post) I figure Australia's already gone, though I haven't heard anything on the news. Asia, India, Russia and Europe, too. Bummer.

Or maybe everybody just gets raptured and the land masses themselves are still there? I'm not sure how this works. Does anybody know what time it's supposed to happen? John, Boz and I are going to wait in the car. We would like very much to go as a family unit.

Anyway, it's not like it's the end of the world. Well, it is, but at least Boz won't have to go to the vet this afternoon, and I can leave the dust bunnies under the bed where they so desperately want to be. And maybe we can finally save some frickin' money, for god's sake, because we won't have to pay the mortgage in January.

Just trying to look on the bright side.

I'm kind of disappointed because John was going to start teaching screenwriting in January, and now that's not going to happen, unless maybe we end up on a friendly planet where they have movies. And I've been excited about my book launch but I guess I didn't time it very well.

It's been nice sharing the internet with you all, and...oh geez...I'm going to miss the internet! C'est la vie. Or, I guess, c'est la mort.

So far, the afterlife has been pretty dull.

I'm with William. What a bust. Back to chores... Excited that the screen writing class and book launch will still happen!

Don't celebrate yet, there's uncertainty about the exact date - it could be on the 23rd. Sorry to prolong the wait in your car.

I'm very happy to hear from Dive and William, both in England, because this means either it hasn't happened or there will be internet after the end of the world. Plus William has the line of the day.

Bellis, I never knew that. I guess we can wait in the house on the 22nd, then pack some snacks for the 23rd.

you scared me, I thought you were actually going somewhere!

See you tomorrow

"Uncertainty about the exact date …” Yeah, with a margin of error that's also an order of magnitude! What's 6 billion years between friends?

Thanks, BD, I'm glad you care.

Isn't 6 billion years when the sun's supposed to burn us out, JS? I'm scared!

I am pleased to note that Yorkshire is still here.
Quite why anyone these days would think that their calendar being out of date might be more than a slight problem I do not get.

11 1/2 hours left in the day...but with Bellis' comment, I'm not clear on when we should party??? I think I'll just start tonight and keep it going...anybody want to join me??? After all...no hangover if the world ends!!!

So far, it's been a pretty ho hum day at work out on the east coast;) (On the other hand, screenwriting teaching sounds exciting!)

Har, LOL.

Yes, very pleased about York, and I agree, Paul--it amazes me how many people take strange predictions over scientific ones. So far, science has been right, at least about the end of the world.

Chieftess, no migraines in heaven.

Lulu, I'll be posting about John's class after the first of the year. He's a wonderful teacher.

I like your hommage to Charlie Brown.

Well, I guess you went to the vet today after all.
I'm really glad you and all are still around, Petrea.

The end of the world might not be so bad then, eh, Petrea?

I have not cleaned my house thoroughly in weeks in antipation of this.

Thanks, Hiker.

Thank you, Dina, likewise! We just got back from the vet and all is well.

I don't know, Chieftess, at least I have medication.

Ha! Laura, you're a woman after my own heart.

Well, seeing that we're all still here, it looks like I'll be joining Laura in doing some thorough house cleaning this weekend (before the guests arrive!)
