Ground Level

I've got a collection of photos I call "Ground Level." I bring one out every once in a while. You can find a lot of nice stuff by keeping your head down.

It's my brother's birthday (happy birthday, Stuart!). We've got three contest entries and a guest author this week on the old blog. Camelot & Vine is closer and closer to ready. Boz is snoring at my feet. My feet are cold. I would like to tuck them under Boz (dogs are warm!) but I don't want to wake him. Plus I'm dying for some ice cream.

There you have my list of important things to to keep in mind for Sunday.

Love that lone trumpet flower!.. and u are right, the things u can find on the ground can be amazing... keep your eye out for money.. My daughter found a $5 on the ground at Magic Mtn. (years ago) it made her day!.
I bet u can get your toes under Boz, its the" inch by inch creep method"

The shade that has made the flower in the soil is quite striking.

Very pretty, Petrea, especially the contrast with the stained concrete.

I've not tried the "inch by inch creep method" for getting cold toes under a warm dog, but I can confirm after five decades of experiment that it's not a great way to get a date.

I rarely find money, KBF, and don't hope for it, but I wouldn't mind.

Thanks, Valladolid, I thought so too.

Missed you by a second, Dive. You made me laugh. Maybe you should try a new experiment. The decade is still young!

I'm too old to try again, Petrea. Besides, this is Movember and I'm growing a "cowboy movie elderly sidekick comedy moustache and sideburns" for charity and so am self-evidently undateable right now.

This is good news, Dive. I gave up, then JS showed up. I recommend giving up.
Also the moustache and sideburns. We will want pictures.

That's a pretty splash of purple. Happy birthday to your bro and happy belated anniversary to you and John. My parents have the same anniversary as you two, with about 44 years tacked on.

Aren't dogs toasty?! They make great heaters. I bet Boz wouldn't mind your toes tucked under him. My house is cold too, but it's quite warm outside. Definitely ice cream weather. I think you should treat yourself to Carmela.

I love finding treasures like this -- lovely....

Sounds like you need some nice, plush slippers with little heating pads built in. Altho dogs can be good foot-warmers, too.

Susan, we're going to have to go for ice cream. We haven't yet, but we got the idea into our heads and now we're obsessed.

Ms. M, my feet would be in heaven with heated slippers. Just plushy ones would make me happy!

It got extremely hot outside today, did you go out? I'm excited that C&V is getting closer to being finished!! I really enjoyed listening to the audio version of Belinda's birthday. Yes! I managed to download it to the Amazon Cloud. You have the nicest American accent ever.

Ha! Oh, thank you, Bellis, that made me laugh. I wonder if I can sell that thing in England.
