Arthur looks very gallant in today's photo, Petrea, but I can't help but wonder if that's not Lancelot and Guenevere disporting themselves across the lake behind him.

I love the word "disporting." I don't believe I've ever used it in a sentence before now. I must add it to my daily vocabulary.

The word that comes to mind for this picture is "chivalry"--Chretien de Troyes, 12th century or perhaps later, Medieval.
This knight is a perfect example of a "knight in shining armor". And the setting is beautiful.

Bellis, their home is on Lake Avalon, which is a private lake for the homeowners who live along its banks. They pay for its upkeep through their property owners association. It's truly beautiful.
