Outgrown

Looks like somebody got too big for this small, sweet house in Northwest Pasadena.

I haven't outgrown anything lately, although I may have to give up a favorite pair of shorts if I'm not careful. You get to a point, eventually, where you stabilize. If you are careful, that is.

It is to be hoped we are referring only to our physical size here, not the size of our willingness--to listen, for example, or to learn, or to just be open to what's next.

I love "what's next" Petrea, but then I was never one for being stable.

I think it's time you outgrew being an unpublished novelist.

Maybe they haven't outgrown but didn't or couldn't handle the responsibility?

How much wood could a faded chair chuck if a faded chair could chuck wood...

All right, Dive, that's growth I'm willing to take on.

Could be, KBF, as long as we're fantasizing. I know the people and their story, though, so yeah, they outgrew. Jeremy Hardy is the agent, by the way. I recommend him!

Ann, you made me laugh. Zen Sunday!

I'll bet they are sad to leave this adorable house they've outgrown. Love the colors.

I'm being encouraged to do something way out of my comfort zone. I want to be that person who is open to what's next, so I'm giving it serious thought. I'll let you know if I go for it.

Ohhhh...such a sweet home! I'd love to go to an open house at this one!!! I love the red accents!

Bayside, there are the things that call to us and the things that don't. What do you think about this one?

Chieftess, I'm afraid it's too late for this one!

First thing I looked at was the lawn :). Then I read your super comments. Another lovely photo with kind words to go with it. PS Not sure about the lawn...curbside. The main lawn looks super.

LOL, I think you like a green lawn! Maybe the sprinklers stopped working in the median and they thought, eh! we're moving, why fix it? Or maybe that's just what I'd do.

Love the chair. Wonder if it could be repaired? Surprised it wasn't picked up by PA on Trash Tuesday.

I understand the new people have moved in, Bellis. Maybe they grabbed it. It's a little out of Pasadena Adjacent's range.

Just got back from a weekend away. And I can't believe you are getting close to outgrowing anything.

That is a very cute house. I love the sentiments that go along with it. I hope the size of my willingness to listen, learn and be open will continue to grow.

Baggy shirts, Margaret.

Susan, I am totally closed-minded about the new Mac scrollbar. John says I'm always like this about learning computer programs. So now I'm thinking maybe I was being too preachy in this post.

Maybe someone took the lawn instead of the chair, blind and fire wood :)

I agree on the willingness to listen, to learn, be open to what's next. Well said. Life is so full of opportunities.

The house is very charming. I hope the new folks enjoy living there.

The photo and house are charming, and I agree with all you've said. Good things to think about.
