I've seen some excellent postings about the Julia Morgan YWCA. Today I'd like to direct your attention to my favorite: Pasadena Adjacent's beautiful post and video. You will not be disappointed.
Thanks for joining me during Julia Morgan YWCA Week!

Thank u for sharing that video!. Simply stunning... They sure don't build them like that any more... I love the support beams near the top... Such clean lines...
Thanks, KBF. Yes, the building is special and PA's video is, too!
Wow....! So kind of you to 'guide' us to Julia's post and video. Lovely. Thank you.
I do love that video. Pasadena Adjacent's blog is like nothing else, and the video is one of my favorite things she's done. Once I saw it, I knew I didn't need to say anything else.
Never mind all that peeling paint, let's all shout HAPPY BIRTHDAY to John! Woohoo! Yay! and other jollity.
Have a great day, you two.
Wow! thanks for the shout-out. Were you there Saturday morning? I was under the impression you attended a private tour. Saturday was a busy busy day between the YWCA tour and Margaret's reading. Two blog posts in a week for me - unheard of!
Btw: I did a similar photo. Now I'm wondering about the mysteries that lie beyond the yellow tape.
Happy Happy Bernie K
Thanks, Dive. We are hoping for as much jollity as possible over the weekend.
PA, I went Thursday evening, which was the same deal as Saturday. No private tour. I want very much to get beyond the yellow tape, too, especially the third floor. Third floor! What's up there, I wonder?
Thanks for posting the link to PA's post and video -- It's fascinating! I hope some good plans are submitted and the building is restored.
And I hope you and John have had a good day of celebration!
Thank you, Ms. M. I wish I had a good plan for the YWCA, but I'll leave it to the folks with the money to implement them. I hope this time around they find someone who really cares.
And thanks for your good wishes!
Thank you again for the photos. Third floor? Oooooooh!!
Yeah, the caution tape was up and we didn't get to go, but it's up there.
