O Beautiful for Open Space

Hahamongna Watershed Park

Go vote for something. Stand up for a right or two. Or a left, or something in between, whatever suits you. Fortunately we have a choice and we'll keep it as long as we're as vigilant as our foreparents were.

I wish you an independent Independence Day.

sigh

I want a comfortable chair, a cold drink and a book.

I could stay there almost all day!

Beautiful. The water is so still and the reflection wonderful.

Have a very Happy, Celebratory Fourth of July.

Book Dragon, I don't think I know anyone who reads as much as you do. And you get so much enjoyment out of it! It's a beautiful thing.

Thank you, Shell. We're going to relax today.

Thanks, Bayside, I wish you the same.

Come on up to the parade in Mammoth!!! We do the 4th in a big way! Kelly and I will be riding in the parade with my friend Joanne, the puppy Diego, and a real, live, Olympian!!! We're honoring Olympians this year!
Then off to the concert in the park...TheChief is working today so I'm hanging out with my friends!!!

Awesome photo. Sign me up for the chair, cold drink and book! My independence day involves going to a wedding in Sonoma, which should be a blast (even if I doubt I'll get to see fireworks).

Beautiful photo and I love your Independence Day sentiment. I'm hungover from Margaret's party so I'm going to relax today, too.

What a delightfully refreshing way to celebrate Independence Day, Petrea.
Have a wonderful day!

A good year to honor Olympians! (I wouldn't mind a trip to London to do it.)

We just took Boz for a walk at Hahamongna. This photo is deceiving! It's dry there right now.

That's a wonderful title - let's sing this at the next City meeting about the proposed soccer field? Oh, and Happy Independence Day to you all.

Feel very nostalgic about that photo - it's so dry there now, and that lake wasn't allowed to fill up again this year. Last year, it spawned thousands of froglets. All you need to get an abundance of life in Hahamongna is a bit of water.

The meetings Bellis refers to are listed at the end of this article

Bingo! Lovely photo.

Thankee, thankee, see you at the meetings.

Boz walked to the drinking fountain and returned via the upper path (more shade, but poison oak galore!). He's sacked out now. The house is filled with his deep, happy breathing.

Happy Independence Day, sounds like Boz has got the measure of Public Holidays!

Beautiful photo.

Now I know what all the fuss is about.

I made an apple pie. Does that count for anything?

Thanks, Deb and Valladolid, for your friendly wishes.

K, come on up and we'll go for a walk.

Margaret, an apple pie always counts.

I would be happy if here the Independence day was same true holiday as in the States.
Family circumstances ask me to stay at parents' country house most of the time, away from internet, I miss my blog friends so much.
Your photo is healing.
