We're heading east on Silverlake Blvd. in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, approaching the corner of Reservoir St. This mural is on the back of what I think is still Tom's Burgers. Tom's is on a corner-shaped spit because really, where Silverlake meets Reservoir it also meets Parkman Avenue which, if we turn left on it, takes us behind ourselves to Sunset Blvd, under which we've just driven.
I love that sentence, even if you don't.
I didn't find out the name of the artist, but I did find Jubilee.
Update:
Thanks to Adele for discovering the name of the artist: Dcypher CBS.

Tom's Burgers gets really bad reviews, that mural is new and the little red place across the road last sold for $635k in Apr 2012 and is now valued at $617k...
Have driven past the Silver lake area. Not very familiar, but I love murals!... There's a lot of them on the underpasses towards downtown...
So, how bad are Tom's Burgers?
All true, Mainz, ye who searches the web. I wouldn't pay $500 for the little red place. The area in general is fine but right along the road there's not enough parking and way too much traffic.
I've never eaten there, KBF. I read the reviews JB (from Mainz) is talking about.
JB, I see one of your comments didn't make it through the spam filter. I'm going to go in there and get it out. Excuse me.
Nevermind. It was in yesterday's post!
Silver Lake is pricey but it's an interesting area of Los Angeles. When we lived in DTLA, it's where we went to get a drop of nature; Elysian Park
Even with cracked concrete, graffiti and bad burgers, it's still an exotic paradise to an Englishman sitting in the rain, Petrea. Yay LA!
I, too, am very fond of that sentence. It makes me want to drive there, and live the experience! The Jubilee website mentions KCRW. Do you know what the reference to CBS is, on the mural?
It's a brilliant sentence as it perfectly depicts the labyrinth those streets form. Plus I love that you used the word "spit" to describe Tom's locale.
PA, I want to get pictures of the dog park and the trail around the reservoir, but traffic never seems to stop in those places. Far be it from me to park and get out of the car.
Don't you have cracked concrete in England, Dive? (You know your rain is exotic to me.)
I don't know what the CBS reference is, Adele. It might be the artist's handle. I'm not sure if the mural has anything to do with Jubilee; my guess it doesn't.
I like that you used "labyrinth," Susan. Silverlake Blvd. is easy enough, but just drive up in the hills.
You're right! Full name: Dcypher CBS. And now I can go to bed, cuz I've already learned something for today.
It is a nice sentence, but I thiink I just got lost.
Now I want to be driven the same way! I enjoyed the sentence and this slice-of-life scene (love that bit of graffiti, actually).
Oh Adele, thank you for doing the research I should have done.
Margaret, it's easy to get around in Silverlake.
I didn't notice the graffiti on the westbound leg of the journey, Lulu, so I will have to drive you this way after all.
Fun post! Cool mural. And excellent labyrinthine sentence :)
A cagey comment, Ms. M.
