These signs adorn the Pasadena Furniture Company on Rosemead, south of the 210 freeway. I've posted at least one photo of this building before. (Where are these photos? Who knows? I didn't categorize them under "signs," "shopping" or "Pasadena Furniture Company" so it's anybody's guess.) I like the juxtaposition of signs here: old, newer, and so-new-it's-temporary. Plus the street sign.
The proprietor told us the building was once a dry cleaner's, probably built in the 1920's. Then, before Pasadena Furniture Company took it over, there was another furniture store in there. It's interesting inside, with a not-too-high warehouse ceiling.
Thank you all for your photo uploading advice yesterday. I deleted about 100 duplicates from Picasa (I have no idea why they were there, but hey, I had no idea I was using Picasa) and voila! A new picture. I hope I don't have to delete 100 pictures every day.

Petrea, if it works the way it used to, Picasa picks up every photo that comes into your computer whether you want that photo saved or not. You have to clean it out periodically.
How about 'smorgasbord'? I haven't seen a mixture of signs like that in a long time... :-)
Thanks Anon--not every photo that comes into my computer (heaven forbid) but every photo I upload to Blogger. I don't know how I got this far without even knowing it was there, but I did.
KBF, "smorgasbord" would be a good title for this post.
Glad you're back in business. (Maybe filed under Rosemead Boulevard?)
I bought my mattress there
Thanks, Karin. That found one of them:

I added a couple of tags to it to make it easier to find.
PA, I'll bet it's a good one.
you'd loose that bet
Bummer.
The beautification of Rosemead, using the Obama stimulus money, lasted so long that many businesses there folded, because cars couldn't easily get to the stores. I'm not even sure the whole of Rosemead is now open again. Have you seen the new lamposts and medians? All very nice, but at quite a cost to local businesses.
I'd put "beautification" in quotes, Bellis. I never even noticed, I'm sorry. One thing about that program, good or bad, was that the money went only to projects that were already in progress.
Interesting photo with the mixture of old and new. What little I can see of the building, it'd be fun to take a look inside.
I found duplicates of my photos on Picasa, too. Very strange. I "downsize" my photos before uploading them using Photoshop Elements. Guess I'll downsize them even more....
Glad you have a fix to your picture drama. It's always interesting to think about the history of the old buildings. I bet in the 1920s tha was a right proper place.
I think it might have been a cool building. Kind of warehouse-y. The ceilings still show the look.
I'm not crazy about how the smaller size makes the picture look quality-wise. It's not expensive to buy more storage. I just don't have time to think about it right now so I wish I'd been paying attention when they first told me I was uploading to Picasa. Did they ever tell me? I have no idea.
Huh??? We're uploading to Picasa??? Who knew???
Well...I'll be darned!!! I just logged onto Picasa and there they were!!! And did someone say if you delete it from Picasa it deletes the blog post???
That's true, Chieftess. I just sent you an email with the info I've learned over the past few days.
Hey, this is right down the street from me. I've been meaning to go in there for quite some time and just haven't made the time. Tell John I said hello!!!
Hi Dave! They've got a variety of stuff so check it out. Let me know what you find. We're still looking for our dining room chairs.
