Zen Monday: #187

Zen Monday is the day you tell us what the photo's about, rather than me telling you what I think. We don't do this because there is some brilliant answer. We do it because there are so many stupid questions.

Please share your insights in the comments.

Update: I've had a couple of emails today from people saying they are unable to comment. I don't know what Blogger's up to, but commenting has been an issue for a few weeks now (they've changed the format, you can only follow a conversation on a blog using the 'embedded comment' format, etc.). Many of us are complaining to Blogger but so far, no luck. Perhaps what they're hoping is we'll all move to other blogging formats. Surely, if the problems continue, their wish will be granted.

Wow! I hardly recognize him after that eyebrow makeover.

BaysideLife said...

He does have nice eyebrows, but what is eyebrow threading??

He was proud of his magnificent mane, but he felt the furry eyebrows detracted from his eyes, and simply had to go.

What the frak is eyebrow threading? Is it like weaving in extra hair so you can look like Beau Bridges? Or is it more like re-treading old tires?

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child (with plucked brows) shall lead them.

The lion may SAY his refreshed appearance is due to a little eyebrow threading, but I argue he's had a little more work than that. Notice the wrinkle-free forehead? The firm chin line?

I'm laughing too hard to think of anything clever for this one.

Poor lion came all the way from the steps of the New York Public Library and what did he get? Sissified!

Well that's the eyebrows done, wonder if anywhere does mane threading?

Is eyebrow threading like hair extensions? Like hair weaving in miniature?
It does look like he's had his whiskers threaded.

My friend just had her eyebrows threaded and she said it was extremely painful. A piece of string is tied round each eyebrow hair and then pulled. Ouch! I'm not sure this is how it's actually done - does anyone know the details? Tweezers are good enough for me.

As for comments issues, I only have problems when using my iPad.

Without any conscious prodding, as soon as I saw this picture I heard "If I were king of the forest..." being sung, which I guess is kinda Zen.

The king of the forest is a metrosexual.

Oh you guys, I love Mondays. I don't know what work our sissified, metrosexual lion king has had done but I'm sure his age doesn't show like it should.

Has anyone else made the switch from Blogger to Wordpress? Is it easy? Difficult? I don't know how long it'll take me to get around to doing it, but I've decided to do it. I've had it. Bellis, it's not about your iPad. Blogger's been updated, it should work with modern interfaces. But what's happened is they've taken away services and it doesn't work on new formats or updated browsers. It's like we're back in 2007.

I really miss being able to follow conversations on other peoples' blogs, not that that's going to change unless everyone else goes to Wordpress with me!

I think you're right about blogger trying to get us all to move to the next incarnation of blogger formats...I'm very frustrated with blogger too and have thought about switching too...but then I wouldn't have the snow background!!!!

And now I'm lost, Chieftess, because I talked to some bloggers this morning who are just as frustrated with Blogger, but also hearing of troubles at Wordpress. Perhaps these companies are rolling out "new" formats before they're ready for the general population to use them? I have no clue, I'm definitely general population.

I think they just want us to move on to the next generation...heaven forbid we're happy with this one!!! Haven't heard of troubles at Word Press...

I'm afraid to try the "next generation!" Gah! They can't even get this one right.
