I can rarely decide between color and black & white. Whenever I post a B&W photo (not often) I usually put up the color one, too. Both media have their merits. Why choose?
This is a big, fancy world, kaleidoscoped with wonders. Sometimes, you can have it all.
I'm thinking: radio/movies/TV/video/DVD/blu-ray/netflix/streaming, etc.
I'm thinking: wax tablets/scrolls/illuminated manuscripts/hardbacks/paperbacks/ebooks, etc.
What are you thinking?

Beautiful photographs... b&w or colour, either works for me.
Why choose? Depends on the mood I am in..lol... Also have u found that sometimes the sunlight can get the image so that it does mimic b&w as well as in vintage mode? Next time try those water drops in macro, I've discovered those droplets can reflect what is in the background.. I have a shot of a droplet that has a bit of blue (sky) reflected in it, almost looks like a watercolor drop.
You should also give us a photo of how Boz sees the world. Leave in the blues and greens and reduce or remove the yellows and reds. Then add smell.
Thank you, Llandudno...
I have a photo of hundreds of raindrops on a plastic sheet, Kalei--hundreds of self-portraits.

Hmm, Bellis, that sounds like a worthy experiment.
@Petrea: wow! all those droplets make me want to itch.. the shapes remind me of when i had the measles...
I think I would just like to have a few more options.
Stunning photos, especially the B&W!
I like both of these images! They each really do speak a different language. Thanks for sharing both as it's fun looking back and forth at them comparing what each makes me think about.
The more the merrier, Laura!
Merci, Ms. M.
Katie, language is an interesting way of putting it. Yes, they do seem to say completely different things.
How sere.
Each photo has a quality that draws me, for very different reasons.
I love B&W for complex situations that need calming, clearing up, or focusing. This doesn't seem to be busy to me, but I like the B&W. The color, however, brings out just a touch of something other than the bland colors presented. A streak of blue would be too much, but this, this is just a hint of something different, a bit of color to give it definition.
Maybe a cascade of the B&W's around or somehow near the color photo in the center? Would have to hands on play with them to see the layout I'm thinking of.
