Here at the old Pasadena Daily Photo blog, we celebrate Mondays with a bit of Zen.
Zen learning comes from experience, I'm told, rather than lectures or books. So please experience the photo and, in the comments, tell us what you've learned.
There's no right or wrong. We're here to have fun.

I see the mount. Where's the sermon?
"This message brought to you by the Plywood Awareness Council."
Hmmm...this photo reminds me that despite the snow here in Cleveland, there are other places that are much warmer, and that it'll be warm again here too, eventually. Also I like the feeling that the mountains are there, silently observing. The observers are the observed? (Maybe they are thinking, what the hell is that plywood thing doing there?) (Can I say the "h" word here?)
If the plywood wasn't on top, I thought it was my neighbor's peeing post for his dog... He trained his lab to pee against a 2x4.. Pretty smart or could be embarassing for the dog? Can u imagine other dogs seeing Saugus ( dog) peeing against it? What a good laugh they would have...
Some routes don't need a guidepost.

Shit no, you can't say Hell around here, LGreen. What do you think this is, a locker room?
Oh, now Karin's lowered the tone, I've forgotten what I was going to say.
Bollocks?
I've uh, got, uh, nothing.
and rotflmao Karin!
LGW---no damn phucking way can you say those things here!
Not a fishbowl either!
Bellis, or was, gonna say something similar which rhymes with bollocks. I think she was still thinking about the title of KB's Fryday blog post.
The City decided there was no point in having a map here, as it'll be out of date soon anyway, because:
1. All trees will be dug out of the river basin, leaving a large sandy pit.
2. Wide, paved bikeways will run along both sides.
3. A huge cliff of sand will be built out into the river basin on the west side, on top of which will be a new soccer field and lots of car parking.
What's that? You like it as it is? It doesn't belong to you or the wildlife that calls it home, it belongs to Pasadena City and LA County.
(I'm being ironic - we can still try to stop some of this, but it takes vigilance, lots of energy and boundless optimism).
Feel free to lower the tone again. :o)
Anyone else having trouble with the word verification? it's constantly changing.
I've been having trouble with WV on other blogs, Bellis, but I thought it was because they had changed to the "updated Blogger interface." (I haven't chosen it because it shrinks the pictures when you click on them rather than enlarging them.) But you say you're having problems with WV here on PDP?
Even the choir has gone home.
I like Bellis's lecture. Maybe we should start using irony with the City Council?
Every blog's doing this to me, including yours. I type in a wv word, preview my comment, and find there's already a new wv to type in.
like now.
Sometimes you just have to stop talking and start doing...
You are here--sort of.
What's sadder than a wayside without its clothes!
This is actually a "resting perch." It is for people walking with their birds. You rest your bird there while you rest your arm.
Oh, of course. Boz must have eaten it.
Starting with a blank "canvas"? (Altho the whole soccer field plan doesn't sound like feasible "art" to fill it with.)
I'm glad you all experienced your god damned Zen today. LGreen, you started it.
Really, though, what could anyone have said after Cliff's opener? Except Cliff's closer.
Well, hell, I have no idea what I'll do for next Zen Monday. I'll be on the lookout for something profane--er--profound.
There used to be something here, but they've paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
Preaching to the choir.
Oh, man. I just saw that PA beat me.
actually, I believe it used to contain a little blurb on JPL and the hiking trails...obviously, it has been censored by the CIA, TSA, FBI and probably the City.
For those who have nothing to say, the perfect venue for their orations.
WV = ditio. "Cheerio."
"Ditio."
And each went on their way.
Speedway, I do believe that's a winner.
I'm sure this place is really cool!
