Zen Monday: #162

If this is Monday, it must be Zen.

In Zen, you learn through experience rather than books or lectures. Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo and tell us what you've learned, rather than me lecturing you about it.

Please leave your thoughts in the comments box and enjoy.

I truly believe that I have never experiences the right zen lectures, tutorials or whatever because just thinking about ZEN seems to make me more nervous than... reading books for instance.. so my comment or reflection on the picture would be "what's the point?":-) in a nice way, obviously.. not meant as critisism!?

I love this photo--all my favorite colors. The question mark seems superfluous.

What's going on?

Hmmm... a ? on an old square of concrete under an old oak... probably a sidewalk in an older part of town ... I'd like to know what's under there.

instead of telling us who died here, the eternal questionmark makes us wonder "who died here?", without all that talky stuff messing up the message.

Wow, people had something for this one?

... hmm, well, sort of.

WV: Haaza. I hazza nuthin.

cryptic poetry by non-native english speaker:

why did you leaves me?

Bellis said...

I can't compete with Susan. All I see is a puzzled square wondering why the leaf blower missed him out.

Speedway said...

That question just floored me. I can't take mulch more.

What was the question?

Question authority, but never question the hardness of asphalt.

Where do I go from here since I have lost everything? Where is God when I need him to show me the way? Or is everything that has happened, is his way of showing me to stand alone?

You think I'm going to give you one you can google, just like that?

Try saying it out loud, slowly.

Speedway said...

When one's existence becomes concrete, having no "?" to explore, then it becomes "." Life should always filled with all the punctuation marks. Otherwise, it becomes an unending sentence without accent, shape or form.

Having typed that, oh, I am so full of B (dot) effing S (dot)!

WV: louts = the mates of tweezys.

Petrea Burchard said...

Tweezy? Then you can come up with something brilliant, I'm sure.

Petrea Burchard said...

Although it's not required.

Petrea Burchard said...

In fact, I haven't got anything.

Unknown said...

Not hard enough, it's tweezy.

Petrea Burchard said...

Well, Cliff says he can't come up with anything so we might as well shut this one down for the day. I'd like to commend Dive, Susan, Bellis, Speedway, PA, Steven, Ms. M and all the Anonymice for having a go. "Why did you leaves me?" made me guffaw, and ! was a concise retort.

Thank you all for making another Zen Monday what it is.

I think that was my most bizarre and obscure contribution to date. It really deserved just to be answered with a ?, don't you think?
