Zen Monday: #158

In Zen, the emphasis is on learning through experience as opposed to books or lectures. Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo and tells us what you've learned, rather than me lecturing you about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good book. It just happens that Monday is the day you write it.

  1. Clive was offended by the patterned pickets. He refused to come down from the car until they were repainted.

  3. What a handsome hound; king of all he surveys.
Having said that, it's gonna take them a week to polish out those claw marks.

  4. They pulled to a stop; she yanked up the gearshift. He was fuming.

"All right," she said. "Have it your way. You heard a dog bark.."

  5. The cats taught it to him. That's his story and he's sticking to it.

  9. "Hi, my name is Carl. I am a boxer and weigh 70 pounds. I have 42 sharp, white teeth, 6 pair of which are incisors, and 2 pair of pointy canines. My owner does a nice job of keeping them brushed and healthy for me. She feeds me a balanced diet to keep me strong and sleek. I can run from here to the fence in .3 seconds. How fast can you run?"

  10. Puppy dog on high makes the sign superfluous.

  12. Just waiting for my master Cal Worthington. Or maybe it's Ralph Williams or Chick Lambert.

And if you know those names, you've been an Angeleno as long as I have!

  14. He looks very regal sitting up there; all he needs is s crown. That look -- was he staring at Boz?

  15. Yo—you can read, right? Well, believe it!

  16. You may not be surprised to learn that Boz gives this fence a wide berth. I find this boxer entertaining; she stands on that car and gives us what fer as we go by, if we go too close. She's a beauty and she's in charge.

There are signs the owners have tried to protect the car but to no avail. A car cover, a blanket, all mangled and/or bundled and thrown aside. Boxer wins.

To quote Book Dragon, "thanks for the smiles guys, this was great!"
