Was this picture taken on Slap-Stick Avenue, just around the corner from Creme Pie Deli where 38 clowns in a Mini drove thru for seltzer - and asked for separate checks?
About 15 years ago I was going through bad times. A few characters from my stories would leave me little signs of encouragement in the real world -- a song playing in a restaurant; a license plate with a private joke. I haven't gotten any "winks" from my pals in years.
For six weeks now I've been going through bad times which I can't do anything about and have no end in sight. I was feeling particularly disheartened today.
Dear Petrea, one enigmatic guy named Janoscz left a banana peel as his calling card in the story I wrote about him.
Carmen Miranda's famous Tutti-Frutti hat lost one of its most famous components yesterday. The banana, sadly, became over-ripe and, not wanting his admiring fans to see how badly the brown spots had spread, well, the banana split.
They're hiding behind the bushes waiting to see if someone slips on the banana peel! We have to get these hoodlum kids back in school! Pasadena Florist
I believe Ken has moved the museum out to Apple Valley now, but for years it was in a little yellow place in Altadena. I'm sure y'all need a field trip out there to see all of the museum!

Hahahahaha. I was trying to think of something funny to say but John's comment is too perfect.
WV: topstick - I think I'll go with that!
Allen Funt likes this one.
I see you've been monkeying around again, Petrea.

You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away.
I'd heard Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall...didn't know his cousin Danny Banana was in town too!
wv: borspit...no, that's too easy, I've seen a boar's teeth out on Catalina, they give a spit warning!
Is this Pasadena's skid row?
George Washington slipped here.

The pudding and vanilla wafers were spilled one block over.
These comments from everyone are so good! I don't know which one I would choose to win the Top Banana.
1 Adam-12, 1 Adam-12. Check out reports of a banana streaking on Elm Street...
Nanner, nanner, nanner.
A compost pile begins with a single slip.
Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana. GM
Just when I think all the banana jokes have been done, someone slips in another one.
These have been great, all of them, all day.
Pamela, how wonderful that Janoscz chose to wink at you today. I love that concept! I hope his wink signals the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you all for a particularly sweet Zen Monday.
ahahahah classic!

Petrea---if you're going to keep up the top banana jokes, you're going to have to talk to The International Banana Club "Top Banana", Ken Bannister.
Trish, you're onto something. Of course the International Banana Club is headquartered in Altadena.
