Parking Lot Graphic

Trader Joe's parking lot on a sunny day.

I have groceries on the brain. Shopping is on today's to-do list.

*************

Update, 9am: you may note the 4:30am post time. I woke up moments before, remembering I hadn't posted. This is rare. I don't have a system exactly, but posting is an integral part of my day.

I usually choose a photo first and prepare it. This gives me time to think about what to say about it. In this case I had chosen the photo but forgotten to think. I don't think I could even spell what goes through my mind at 4:30 in the morning.

Yet I really do have to get groceries today.

Just updated with the reality of where my brain was when I posted at 4:30 this morning.

Thank you for your nice comments.

I've just gotten a RedBubble account. You think this one should go on there?

On my list today: add RedBubble link to blog.

Patrizzi, remember the (is it Mark Twain?) quote: "I can live for two months on a good compliment."

I was waiting here in England at 8 am (midnight your time) for your photo to change and it didn't. I looked in again at about 4:30 am your time, so I guess I must somehow have woken you up.

Goodness, how can you keep doing this day after day without failure? It's a marvellous achievement - and you shouldn't feel bad about any delays in your posts, despite my nagging.

Is this the Trader Joe's on Del Mar/Lake? Great shadow play.

Cool photo. Nice lines. Interesting too. A visit to Trader Joe's is always a bright point of any day.

Bellis, I was wondering the same thing. How do you do it everyday, Petrea? You're amazing. So is this photo.

Trader Joe's got me thinking of the Ginsburg poem, so I just read it again: http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/15306

Thanks for waking me up, Bellis. I don't like being late and I'd hate to miss one completely.

What keeps me going is the fear of being punished if I'm bad! Or maybe it's more a peer pressure thing. I always got good grades, not because I particularly liked school but because I was a people pleaser.

It doesn't hurt that I enjoy blogging and the contact it brings me with the worldwide community, as well as my own.

Steven, as much as I like eating, and as much as I prefer TJ's to other stores in its price range, I wish I could hire someone else to shop for me.

I love the grid patterns and the gradations from white to black. So simple, so cool. Most people might never have noticed.

And the tomato was great, too.

Now that you've taken a delightful Trader Joe's photo watch out as they'll probably discontinue the good light in that parking lot.

Petrea Burchard said...

Thanks, Speedway.

Katie! Props for hilarity.

Splendid photo! The lines, diagonals, shadows are marvelous!
I like Katie's observation about Trader Joe's :-)

I like it too, Ms. M. For those who don't know: it always seems as soon as you fall in love with a product at Trader Joe's, they discontinue it.

Another thing: how often do you see this much space in one of their parking lots?

Don't know why I remembered this two days later. Bellis, you asked: this is the TJ's on Rosemead.
