Zen Monday: #144

Does it seem like Zen Monday comes around faster and faster lately?

Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo and tell us what you've learned. If you've been lurking, I hope today's the day you'll jump in.

Is this your first Zen Monday? Just say what the picture makes you think of or how it makes you feel. It might be helpful to click on the photo to enlarge it.

There's no right or wrong, no secret, no prize. Just have fun.

Reminds me of the black lab that lived next door to my daughter. Blue would jump up and her head would appear over the fence. It was like she was on a trampoline. She would do it over and over. We loved it.

Titch the chihuahua gained a great sense of empowerment after he dragged the child's trampoline over to the fence.

I have one of those. Training be damned.

So sorry...at first when I read the sign...I read "dumping dog"!!!!

That's a horse of a different color, isn't it, Chieftess?

Very different color Susan!!!

I think that should be read with a spanish accent.

I've got to admit, I left my glasses in my bag in the car...when I first read the sign I thought it said "beware of HUMPING dog". Then I enlarged...the PHOTO and realized my mistake.

lol.

then again, I WISH more people would warn us about their dogs that are humpers. Jumpers are scary enough!

and now that I've stopped lol'ing...I see the jumping dog is not just a vertical jumper, based on the 85 nails in each of the fence posts...I presume, to keep little humper, I mean, jumper, in the yard!

wv: descussi....descussi amongst yourselves the difference between jumpers and humpers and necessary warning signs!

That'd be quite a Jump to get over, Cliff.

Better a jumping dog than a jumping rattlesnake I say.

An hommage to Phoebe?

Too funny, Chieftess. Still, a jumping isn't necessarily bad. Maybe he's just enthusiastic.

I hope you'll one day post a photo of the jumping dog itself. Or else give me the address so I can watch the performance.

PS I read "humping dog' at first as well..

Looks like they need a larger "guard tree" to help protect the fence. :-)

Sign was put up after the post office carrier was extremely surprised as the Dog came inches from his face. Dont laugh Its amazing some of the ways dogs have gotten out or loose from their yards to attack a carrier

I generally stay out of the comments box on Mondays, but there's no law that says I have to do that, is there? I originally did that so as not to influence everyone's Zen comments about the photo. But jeez. "Beware of jumping/dumping/humping dog"? I'm allowed to join in here. What do you think?

I haven't been able to get a picture of the dog, he's too fast. But "homage to Phoebe" is close--he's a young, handsome boxer and he'd love to get a piece of Boz. Or anybody who dares come to close to that fence. He's adorable. Or maybe just enthusiastic.

am glad I'm not the only corrupt one here Bellis! ;-)

Petrea---jump/hump/dump right into the conversation!

sometimes those pups can sneak up quietly and scare the boogers out of you with a bark or jump! perhaps it is time to put a BELL on the dog, if it is sneaking up on folks?

Boogers! On the sidewalk!
Not really. The sign is fair warning, I think. But that baby does jump, for sure.
