Boz is key-operated?
Wow! He really IS the ideal dog. I've always wanted one I can switch off when I go to work.

Before chauffering Petrea in his Bozmobile, Pasadena's favorite pooch takes some much-needed sustenance from his favorite food source.

Hmmm...female (spayed) Belgian Tervuren (with maybe a touch of German Shepherd in the bloodline...) passed here half an hour ago with a short human of Swiss ancestry, recently fed on Eggs Benedict and an espresso, wearing Teva sandals and golf slacks that would frighten anyone out of their wits. Hope he didn't embarrass her too much...

Boz is the Hahamongna Keynote Sniffer.

Boz found one of those fake, hide-your-key-in-the-realistic-looking-rock thingys you're supposed to be able to put in front yard by the door. And NOBODY knows it's there!

Problem? It's an Anglo Saxon version of an inuksuk, with key pointed towards car, telling paramour to join him/her @ Little Flower Candy Shop, but they took car home with spare key.

Suitable WV: elymente, as in "Elymente, my dear Boz!"

Has Boz sniffed out the key of knowledge? Or perhaps the key of swift transport?

Boz finds the most interesting things, though he and I tend to disagree on what's interesting.

No boas out here, Trish--rattlers, as you know. We heard a small dog was bitten by one the other day, so we're being extra cautious. It's rattler season again. And key season, too, apparently.

Key of knowledge, Ms. M? Well, probably not. But Boz does know a few things, like "treat" and "front porch" and "pill pocket." He's a good boy.

Petrea...then again, Boz probably thinks it odd of you to shake someone's hand or hug them upon meeting, rather than stick your nose in their crotch and examine what they had for lunch and how their bodies are functioning (or not).

and, having seen what happens when a Dobie "plays" with a rattler and 3 times, 3, I tell ya, the rattler says "hey, get the HELL away from me you dumassdog!", I'd be careful too while hiking around. Not to suggest Boz is dense enough as a Dobie...but he's darn cute and I'm sure staying that way would continue Boz' cute streak!

The key to Boz' heart...

Petrea Burchard said...

...or the key to mine...

Boz isn't quite that smart, Trish. He found a rattler once and thought the hissing sound it made was charming. Hey! Looky! Toy! I about panicked. But when I called him away with my COME NOW voice, he came, thank goodness, and the rattler backed down. Now I don't let Boz out of my sight.

Trish said...

I *guarantee* you that Boz is smarter than the dobie was. Sight unseen. But am very glad you've got a COME NOW voice that he responds to--that would save so many heartbreaks if more owners would train their pups in that fashion

and I hereby cast my vote for the key to Petrea's heart---awwwww!
