Zen Monday: #138

On Zen Monday, we experience the photo and share, in the comments, what we've learned.

Well, I don't. You hear from me all week. Monday is your turn.

(Your first Zen Monday? Tell us what the photo makes you think of. There's no right or wrong, no hidden secret, no prize. Just have fun.)

  2. That is such a helpful notice.
Fess up, Petrea: did you feel just the teensiest bit tempted to go wild with a magic marker?

  3. Well that's just ripe for an el marko attack from "A. Nony Mouse".

  5. Notice? Public Hearing? Pardon me, I just drew a blank?

WV: truser, one who expounds "truthiness," as in blank public hearings notices. "Well, we *did* tell you."

  6. This takes lack of transparency in local government to a new level. But I wanna know where it is so I can go and fill it in myself...

  7. what if they threw a meeting and no one came?

  8. altho...am voting for "filling in the blanks" myself...tho I can see that bringing multiple charges with defacing public property, gov't property, messing with gov't proceedings...oy.

I think I'd just go up and draw a smiley face on it!

wv: heways....well, what about the sheways? and the himways and the herways? or are heways just hiways in the south?

  11. That sign looks really big. Like, disproportionately big. Must be large print. Dang. Those baby boomers get everything they want.

  13. I just parked on North Lake Ave. for 15 minutes and got a parking ticket for $36.50 for "FAILURE TO TURN WHEELS TO/AGAINST CURB"

I want a public hearing about that!

  14. That's a ticket that frequently got complaints in SoPas...the problem is...one time, awhile back...someone parked their car on Fair Oaks near OSH and didn't turn their wheels, and forgot to put the parking brake on...yep...it ended up getting crunched!!!

  15. docker, you've got the right idea: let's have a public hearing about whatever we want! Let's fill in the blanks and discuss Susan's ticket (maybe give her a break?), expound some truthiness, give those baby boomers among us whatever we damn well please...

Loren, it's on Altadena Drive just south of Foothill, if I remember correctly, on the east side of the street. Probably filled in by now.

  16. Oh, and Dive, let me just put it this way: I had no magic marker with me and it's a very, very good thing.
