Zen Monday: #128

Inspiration for the photo: Debra H.

It's Zen Monday, the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what I think the photo's about.

I look for a photo worth contemplating or, failing that, something odd or silly. And I stay out of the comments box until the end of the day to avoid influencing the discussion, unless you all get out of con--nevermind.
You never get out of control.

There's no right or wrong, we're here to have fun.

How to tell when the neighbor's OCD has gotten 'way outta hand -- even the dogs point it out and gaze in wonder.

If they can get the leaves to fall to order, why can't they get them to go to the sacks, too?

Leafiary. A rare hobby.

Oh, what a lovely idea. Now I can't wait for Autumn to come round again so I can get out there with my rake and create leaf art. Fun!

"OCD"? "Leafiary"?

These are the two funniest things I've read or experienced in the past 24 hours.

My compliments to them both - and to you for being the catalyst.

"It took years of work, but Fred finally was successful in training the leaves to fall in an easy-to-rake-up rectangle!"

the dog is still stunned at the strange human who raked the entire block except for that 9 x 9 square. Humans....weird!

this homeowner is a bit of a square.

How is this even possible? That tree can't think outside the box, can it?

Boz presides over leaf art exhibit.

Love this photo. The dog is as rigidly geometric as the yard work! It's as if both the yard and the dog were caught in some electric field. It reminds me a little of Hopi art.

This is so funny, especially "leafiary." Must be a Pasadena thing.

Martha was proud of her husband's perfectionist tendencies at work but once he retired, it started getting on her nerves.

LOOK WHAT THEY”VE DONE TO THE YARD!

LOOK WHAT THEY’VE DONE!

ARE YOU LOOKING DARYL? ARE YOU LOOKING?!?!?!

Kris McCracken said...

Daryl [mumbles] “Yeah I f#%@&*g see it. Maybe next f#%@&*g time they might f#%@&*g decided to take you f#%@&*g with ‘em…”

WHAT DID YOU SAY DARYL?!?!?

Daryl “[ahem] I said… ‘next time they might take all the leaves with them dear”.

This is so funny today - and you've stolen all the best lines. I like leafiary too. Treepiary is what Boz does when he's walking.

Everyone's comments are so good! Leafiary, OCD, treepiary....

This is why I never pick a favorite. I can't.

I love Zen Mondays. And today I found a picture for next week, so it's all good.

Are you sick of "it's all good?"
I know, right?
