PDP/PPM Books Contest, week 8

This is it! It's the last week of the PDP/PPM books contest/giveaway. Let's give a big round of applause to Prospect Park Media and Colleen Dunn Bates for donating the books!

For the final contest question, I thought devoted readers of Pasadena Daily Photo should have the extra edge. You can't Google the answer to this one, you have to just know it.

Who is my favorite dog?

That's this week's contest question. Here are the rules we play by:

1. Email the answer to me. There's a link to my email in my profile at the upper left. You have until midnight tonight, Pasadena (Pacific) time. Answers in the comments section will be rudely ignored but probably not deleted unless they're incorrect.

2. That's all you have to do.

3. I'll put all the correct answers into a hat (or a--well, a bag) and somehow, some way, tomorrow I'll find someone nice and totally unconcerned with the outcome to draw the winning name. I'll announce the winner in Sunday's post.

4. PRIZES!
Our final prize is At Home Pasadena, a beautiful, hardbound, coffee-table book for your drooling pleasure. Designed by James Barkley and written by Jill Allison Ganon and Sandy Gillis, with photos by Jennifer Cheung and Steven Nilsson, At Home Pasadena is Pasadena home town eye candy with sections on gardening, working, collecting--and an out-of-this-world section on bathing. It'll make someone on your list (maybe you) an excellent Christmas gift.

Big thanks to Colleen Dunn Bates of Hometown Pasadena and Prospect Park Media for providing us with all the fabulous books!

You seem like more of a cat person to me.

I hope that's not quicksand. But I know you'd dive in after him if it was.

Three cheers for Prospect Park Media, Colleen Dunn Bates and Petrea! This has been a lovely contest.

Actually, by now you probably CAN Google the answer to that one!

How was the thingamajig last night?

Ha! I like cats just fine, but my favorite dog doesn't.

Shell, I once had to save my favorite dog from falling off a cliff into rushing water. He once saved me when we were lost in the dark. It's a beautiful friendship.

Mister Earl, it was lovely. Ben has a nice post today: http://theskyisbig.blogspot.com/

Boz looks like quite the hipster.

Petrea Burchard said...

You should see him wiggle when he walks.

Jean Spitzer said...

He looks like he wants a little alone-time.

Who's that handsome pooch? Wait, don't answer that!

Laurie Allee said...

Oh, look at his little face. I'm with Shell.

Whatizname's face is almost camouflaged against the sand and water. What a handsome fella!

WV: messe. What the poo bags are for.

Is it a warthog? Is it a hippo? No, it's Petrea's favorite dog! In the LACDoPWWRDFCD's least favorite mud.

This has me humming that famous English song, "Mud, mud glorious mud."

I beg to differ. I put "petrea burchard dog" into google and it came back with your blurb on AltadenaPatch.

The last line reads:
Petrea lives in Pasadena with her husband and their dog, Boz.

From which we can deduce that your husband is your favorite dog.

Petrea Burchard said...

We do often call him "our waterhorse." I think he'd like the British song, but I have to say the last thing he wants is alone time.

Typing your favorite dog's name into Google Images does eventually bring the dear boy's face up. :o)

TheChieftess said...

He IS one handsome dude!!! Perhaps Daisy's ailment is her pining away for His Highness?!!!

John Sandel said...

Cliff, you have no idea.

Petrea Burchard said...

I can't believe our pet is Google-able.

Bellis said...

Abby as well: type "Dogs of Summer II" into Google images and she's fourth from the left.
Google knows everything.

TheChieftess said...

Pretty impressive Petrea!!!

Petrea Burchard said...

Great shot of Abby!

Now go Google "Chieftess Daisy" and see what you get.

Petrea Burchard said...

I mean google, not images, oh jeez louise.

TheChieftess said...

Let's hope such internet fame does not go to our darling dog's heads!!! They're already spoiled beyond reason!!!

I have a great affection for old Dogs. Especially when I see them pulling up the rear of their tribal units. ____ is such a gentle sweet guy. I thought that the moment we first met.

So your favorite dog in your favorite place (that is Hahamongna, isn't it?)

Bellis said...

Congrats, Chieftess Daisy, you come up first, second and third on Google - now that's what I call fame.

Petrea Burchard said...

Hahamongna's my second favorite place, Steve. Home wins out. But yeah, that's the Haha.
