I've mentioned how John and I chase light around our house with our cameras. Sometimes, the light is subtle and fleeting. Sometimes, the combination of light and object are positively wild.
But you have to keep your eyes open.
Although this one fits more into the wild category than the subtle, if John hadn't pointed it out I might not have noticed. It was drying in the dish rack one afternoon. I've pumped up the color.
Don't worry. This is the outside of the pan.

The colors were already there, Lori, I just pumped them up a little. The pan isn't this color, it was the light reflecting on the metal. This side of the cookie sheet gets scraped across the oven rack a lot. The other side of it isn't nearly this interesting.

Dammit, that's gorgeous! Who knew a cookie sheet could be so beautiful. Reminds me of paintings and drawings I've been looking at recently, but there're so many I just about can't say specifically who. You and John shoved and manipulated pixels in a way some people would like to shove around their paint, myself included.

Well, thanks, you all. This is all about developing an eye, I guess, and listening to John apparently has a lot to do with it. Maybe I will frame it, as Virginia suggests. Or go with PA's idea and wear it.

Interesting shot! It's fun to play with images like that. I've done that with the crumbs in a brownie pan, taking a closeup then using Photoshop to play....
Petrea---a couple of our clients have pans that the INSIDE look like this...ergo, why we have a set of pans we can quickly bring with us if need be...ugh!

I think we should make a pilgrimage not to my pan but to Ms. M's, because it has brownies in it. And if we visit Trish's clients, we shall politely decline the cookies.
I look at a lot of satellite imagery and my first thought was that it was some sort of Landsat image or map...would never have guessed cookie sheet.
