You will take your lover's hand and pass through this old, iron gate.
You'll walk together along this quiet road.
When you reach the end you'll stop and think more deeply than you have before (as another couple did a hundred years ago on this very spot) about what it means to live your lives together.
More tomorrow.

beautiful boulevard. You should walk a little bundle of happiness
What a lovely thought to hold, Petrea!
I was a failure on Zen Tuesday, but this one I understand.
Hello, vaincavalier, and welcome. I like your idea.
The place itself gives me the thought, Shell.
There is no failure on Zen Tuesday. Tomorrow's post, Hiker, could not exist without you.
Awww, I love this!

Such a romantic, uplifting way to start the day. The last photo is stunning - is that the Taj Mahal at the end of the drive?
Looks like a beautiful place. Great photos. Perfect lighting too. These are some of your best ever.
Heavy sigh.
Not exactly the Taj Mahal, but you've got the idea. It's a romantic place (I'm a Pollyanna, too). I know I've been teasing but I'll show you a photo tomorrow.
You were in a dream I had last night, showing me large silk wall hangings that had beautiful appliqued images on them. The images revealed many of Life's secrets.
Them I looked at your post today!
wv: treedn (treed in?)
Lovely photos, and intruiging story. I'm not much of a romantic, but I'm very much looking forward to the photo tomorrow! (Ok, I'm a little bit of a romantic)
Shanna, how fascinating, especially considering we've never met and our internet contact has been limited. Don't you love our brains? Well--yours, anyway.
Yes, Katie, you are a little bit of a romantic.
Hi! I'm trying a new way of looking at photos...I've had my pupils dialated for an exam and am looking at CDP withoug quite being able to see. So it's colors and shapes that really count...your hoto popped out on the portal...and I love the trees and the couple (which is what I think I'm seeing.) This is quite fun, really. Dheers.
Tash, you are a Zen Oonday in and of yerseff.
I like your story with the lovely photos; very romantic :)
What a peaceful road. Nice and rustic gate too. Wondering how old that gate?
Aww.. *heartfelt sigh*
I do love that gate. The patterns and textures could keep me occupied for a while.
Yeah, I'd like to have this gate at my driveway. It's from the late 1920's, I believe. Probably around 1929.
Okie dokie...we'll be back tomorrow...
;-)
