iPhone Wednesday #1 - Panorama, Sam Merrill Towers

Okay, hikers, I'm sure this looks familiar. Click on it to enlarge it. Familiar, but...not.

John's still creating panoramas with his iPhone. I got the app but haven't used it yet. (Sometimes I'm slow to make use of new technology, but once the technology is passe I'm more comfortable.)

A few City Daily Photo bloggers are doing a thing called iPhone Wednesday. It's casual. Kim at Seattle Daily Photo's doing it for sure. Chuck (One a Day - Mostly Seattle) might do it. Ming the Merciless at Bangor Daily Photo might do an iPhone shot today, too. I won't know 'til after I've posted. But whatever they post today I trust you'll find it interesting.

Probably won't be a panorama by my husband, though.

Very natty! At least you've downloaded the app, Petrea ~ that's a great start.

Thank you, Shell. I'll be in the San Fernando Valley this morning then in Hollywood this afternoon. Maybe I'll experiment with some cement panoramas.

Welcome aboard, Petrea. Cool treatment including the jagged edges. I'll try to get back onto the iPhone-Wednesday wagon next week.

Awesome panoramic shot! Excellent job.

I've added you onto the iPhone Wednesday list.

Those towers look so intrusive, but I couldn't even tell you where they cross the trail - I guess my mind just erases them from the scenery.

Not a view I would have recognized...

Bellis, they're the almost-half-way mark to Echo Mountain (I think).

I caught P's head in the lower left corner.

Thanks for your visits and comments, everyone. And thanks, Ming, for including me on the list.

Hiker is correct, these are about a mile and a third up the trail, Bellis. I've never not noticed them (double negative that they are). On days when we only have an hour, John and I use them as our goal/stopping point--"to the towers and back."

Is that what that is, J? I thought it was part of the tower support.

Wonderful photo! Love the light filtering on part of the hill. J does a good stitch-up :)

Mr J's got a certain touch for this sort of thing me thinks

I like what J is doing with these, too. If he keeps supplying me I'll keep posting them. They're especially interesting and weird when you get people and animals in them.
