Somewhere There is Always Beauty

To those who participated in yesterday's rant, thanks for helping me get it off my chest. Everyone gets angry sometimes and there are healthy ways to express anger other than defacing property or burning things down.

The Station Fire symbolizes too much loss in too short a time.

Boz and I took a walk today. We didn't go to Hahamongna or the Cobb Estate or the Arroyo. We just went around the block. It took forever. I let Boz stop at every bush that beckoned him, every titillating telephone pole, every come-on curb. It was a chance for me to relax, look around and realize there is beauty. No matter what happens, somewhere there is always beauty.

Nice, beautiful thought to begin 9/9/9.

That's lovely. Do you happen to know the name of the wildflower in the foreground?

I reckon now that we are camera-carrying bloggers we will always be looking for and finding the beauty at hand.
Boz is a good excuse to just stand still and look around. Love your patience and attitude, Petrea.

Lovely photo.

Cafe, you remind me I'd better be careful of what I'm doing at 9:09:09 am (and pm, in the states).

Becky, I don't know it but Bellis does, so I hope she checks in today.

Hee hee, Dina, not that I need excuses for standing still. But sometimes I need an excuse to look around.

Nighty night, Shell.

Ciao, Italo. There's beauty in your village, always.

Let us know what you find, Hiker. I'll be checking your blog.

I'm lucky. Most days, if I want to see to beauty, I just go to your blog.

I can't thank you enough for that, Margaret.

Lovely scene. Glad you and Boz found some beauty, and shared it with us :)

I thought this plant might be hoary alyssum because it has the same sweet perfume as the small white garden alyssum, but I can't find a record of it being found in Hahamongna. Although it's a weed of horse pastures, it sure filled Hahamongna with a lot of beauty, and after all, a weed is just a flower in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I'm in Thailand at my son's wedding, but still traumatized about the vast destruction of the forest and all its wildlife.

Bellis - Thanks for the info. I always try to learn local flora and fauna.

Thank you, Ms. Ms. You make me wonder if Boz sees beauty, or thinks of it as such? I doubt it, though I think he discerns between pleasant and unpleasant.

Bellis, I took this around the same time we saw you at the art exhibit in Oak Grove Park in early June. It's the same stuff that was growing all over Hahamongna, whatever it was. Lovely, with the subtle scent.
Hahamongna is seemingly unchanged (perhaps more animals are taking refuge there?). I'm honored that you checked in from Thailand. Have a wonderful time.

I love tiny flowers like this. It makes me want to make a thousand little cotton sundresses out of Liberty of London prints.

I never found the summer dresses I wanted this year.
